What I find incredible about the Rig Of Doom (that I never see or hear any comments about) is that the whole thing is powered by McIntosh amps. Holy Batman.

do you have a build thread? I know if anyone meantions "upgrades" on the BFM forum it all goes quiet and the tumbleweed blows past...
Apparently offending everyone by cracking jokes about a band and a guitar rig that is IN MY VIEW utterly ridiculous.![]()

Jucifer pretty much owns the hellishly obnoxious rig award.

)I have to give a shout out to Boris....Hmm, Relapse Records( Relapse Records - Wikipedia )has been around for almost 30 years, Alternative Tentacles, home of the Dead Kennedys( Alternative Tentacles - Wikipedia )for almost 40. Both substantial indie labels in their respective fields. Does a band have to be on a dinosaur major label to have any legitimacy?Lol. They set all that stuff up to end up with... Well, what they end up with in the video posted here? Yikes.
I initially thought I really missed the bus not knowing a band that's been touring for this long with that many labels. Then I researched and saw their labels include "Relapse Records" and "Alternative Tentacles" and they have one of those metal genre names that pretty much include only one band. Now I get it why I haven't heard of them in 20+ years.
Also, lol.
Ah. Playing 120 max capacity venues. I guess that passes for "touring" these days.![]()

I know there is a show your rig thread....but I only want to see the absurd and speculate on what’s possible.
What ungodly beast do you have or have you conceived?
Im hoping someone out there has strung a couple amps together with some of the biggest cabs and speakers...
So far I’m thinking two svt4pros, two 810s, two 15s and two 18s. Sending the right frequencies to the right speakers.
Just silly
......SvtSvt......
810/15 15/810
...../18 18/.....
15 are 8 ohms and the 18 is 4 ohms
Could have all but the extra 15 and 18 in less than a week if I want to.. just curious if it’s possible the way I want to use it. The extra 18 is the only thing that would be hard to find.

Sunn O))) might beg to differ...

Maybe not hellish enough, but since Wata is my secret girlfriend(so secret that she doesn't even know it)I have to give a shout out to Boris....
BTW, 60 is firmly in my rearview mirror, and I love those guys, seen them twice. The loudest show I've ever attended was My Bloody Valentine, in the early 90's.

Old farts reacting to Jucifer's live rig have made this thread entertaining.
You have officially become your father and grandfather.
Because frequency reproduction is a speaker characteristic that is entirely independent of speaker diameter
Well, I probably am old enough to be your grandfather.
I am old enough to be my own grandfather.
that’s a great read on the wall. thanks!Hi,
If I put all my gig-able gear together it would not be very impressive, a 1x15, a 4x10, a 2x10 stacked up and driven by a couple of GK amps, MB500 and 800RB, or maybe a Randall RB2000. Perhaps one day I'll pull it all out of the garage and experiment.
I've seen this picture bandied about and was told it was a Gene Simmons rig.

I think it would be fun to own this rig, Fender 400.

Thanks for letting me ramble. I've got to go over a few tunes before heading out to my gig tonight. Everyone be safe during this holiday season.
Thank you for your indulgence,
BassCliff
That 4x10 TE cab is the most beautiful sounding cab I have ever heard. As beautiful sounding as heavy.
