Who has the most Hellishly Obnoxious rig?

Tectonic is not a sound.

You knew he means he wants enough sound pressure to move tectonic plates. Of course this would be insanely dangerous as it would result in huge volcanic erruptions and massive tsunamis sweeping around the globe, and the SPL required would destroy buildings and instantly render the entire human race permanently deaf, but hell this is rawk we're talking about...

No, I haven't. But other than that, the video that was posted is pretty literally noise.
So you have said, so what would be your point in posting in a thread about hellish wall of doom rigs if you haven't even had any interest in something as rudimentary as Black Sabbath except to pee in everyone's Cheerios here? This is obviously not your sandbox, why ruin it for the cool kids?

It took a couple of shots to get this in but, I finally got all of this monster in one picture.

Notice how it dwarfs the marshal stack to its left.

I jest.

I though it was worth noting all the effort to build such a rig and then play whatever that is through it. Enjoy your Cheerios, peed or otherwise.

If you read what he wrote it's not just volume but sonic garbage at teeth rattling volume he wants. A wall of noise. My point was the Grateful Dead wall was the antithesis of that. So it's not me missing any point!

I don't have a picture (it was 40 years ago). I built a rig with 4x JBL 4530 bottoms, 2x JBL 4560 mids, and 4 JBL bullet tweeters. It was powered by an Alembic pre-amp, a Yamaha crossover, and 4x Yamaha power amps.
It was hard to hear on stage, but quite remarkable at 60-100 feet.
I still have a pair of THESE deep in the recesses of my warehouse. They were given to me for parts. My guess is they weigh 120lbs. each. Maybe I'll stack em up with my SVT!!

My gosh. Are those the infamous Peavey pa cabs? I heard them once at college and they were thunderous! If I won the lottery I’d buy 4 of them!

In the early '70's I was sick of being pushed around by the guitar player with his Marshall stack. I came into some money and drove to NYC to Manny's music. He had a bass rig on consignment. It was used by John Lennon and Elephant's Memory at their Madison Square Gardren concert.

I don't have any photos of it, but you can see glimpses of it in the YouTube video of the concert. I bought it.

Original first edition SVT with TWO V4b folded horn cabs. Total of 4 fifteen inch Altec speakers. I made the guitarist cry. Destroyed several pieces of china at the house we rehearsed.

After my initial vengance was satisfied, I retired one of the cabs and that became my touring rig for 8 more years.
