WHOA...Digitech The Drop

Another guitar demo. Sounds like it can, at a minimum, do what my Morpheus can.

I would have liked to hear clean sound in these demos. In my experience, drop-tuning gadgets (such as the James Tyler Variax I got just to track some guitar in my bedroom) work fairly well on distorted sounds but much less on clean - and the further away from the original pitch, the worse it gets.

Obviously I'll be all over this one if I can't hear the tonal difference on clean jazzy chords !

Clean and jazzy 4th down dom7b9 chords would be boss. I play them kind if often on my 6 string bass.

And for everyone else, there is a bass demo on digitechs Facebook page right now! Can't share it from my phone

Thanks! I had seen it actually---there is another thread floating around about the whole suite of Digitech pedals that are coming out (The Drop, The Luxe, some DOD reissues, etc.) and some of the discussion has kind of shifted to there.

I'm still interested in keeping this thread going because the Drop is the only one I care about for the time being.

Here is the demo for everyone else.

By the way, I think the octaver mode sounds great. That's a huge bonus for me with this pedal. I am not obsessed with finding a particular octaver tone (or having a lot of control with it), I just want to be able to kick on some octaver with fuzz and what not. And I think this sounds like it would be perfect for that.

Slightly off-topic: I just listened to the guitar demo again. The thing that really bothers me is he plays the riff to "Stacked Actors" by Foo Fighters all wrong! Don't play a recognizable riff if you're going to screw it up!
