New strings is a lifestyle.Just for fun I wonder if anyone else has spent Jan 1st stringing up a fresh set to start the year. I oiled my fretboard and tried SIT strings for the first time. The jury is still out on how I'm going to like them vs my standard go to strings but they did settle in very fast and held pitch much better than most strings when new. But who else has new strings for '23?
They look an awfully lot like sit strings. But there's a couple stainless strings that look very similar. You'd have to measure the string from the ball end to the taper and give us a pic of the ball ends. We have some string nerds that are awesome string detectives.Just bought a used bass.
Keeping the “mystery strings” on it I don’t know, they sound good to me and they appear new.
But I have a brand new set of Rotosound RS66LF 45-105 strings, waiting in the wings.

I have nickel rounds on all mybasses, except for the stock strings on my G&L SB2T. Im thinking of trying some kind of low tension flats. Any suggestions?
