Why does fender put the logo in the wrong place on Vintera 50s Precision?

I would like to see the answer if you email to FMIC about the correct period of headstock deco placement.
Decal placement has been shown to be the key determinant in whether a Fender has a dead spot.
I suspect it accounts for neck dive as well.
We all get your point. It's just that we all think it's too trivial to care about. That you think Fender does this deliberately is absurd.
Well, based on the responses in this thread, Fender is not doing this to subtly drive sales of the AO over the Vintera. Most people don't notice or care. It is what it is... so purchase accordingly. If it's the AO, the petty overlords at Fender will surely be toasting the success of their just a little bit evil genius.
The decal is clearly in a different spot.

Vinteras themselves have the decal a few MMs from each other-to say nothing of the original 1958 instruments. No big deal. If you prefer American, it is totally fine-I would not advice against the Vinteras just because you prefer the decal in a more "genuine" location, but it is OK to be different and prefer dissimilar things.
Unlike you, as a poor musician I do not have the luxury to complain about the authenticity of decal location-happy the Vintera P bass was an option for me, and ended up absolutely loving it.

Like I said, it's OK for some, it's not OK for others.
I guess if Cadillac goes putting an emblem in the middle of the windshield, you won't complain... After all, was applied by them. Right?
Dumb analogy, not even a good try.
It would be like cadillac putting the emblem .25 inches to the right of last years model. And some people getting their panties in a bunch over it.
That is an accurate analogy.
And yes, making a stink about where an OEM decides to put their label is assinine.
