Why does fender put the logo in the wrong place on Vintera 50s Precision?

Every since I saw the Vintera P-bass, this has bothered me. Why would such a thing be done so wrong when it would be SO easy to get it right? It's much too close to the edge and it looks weird.

Do you think Fender does this to make it JUST a little bit wrong so that the American Original / Vintage remain more desirable? That is what I think, personally, and it's really petty of Fender to do this.

Dude, if FENDER PLACES a sticker, it is by definition correct.

Oh God, now I’ll have to sell all my Fenders, especially the Vintera, before their values plummet. What would happen were I to play a gig at a dive bar and someone notice the incorrect logo placement? I fear that I could not suffer the utter humiliation of such a circumstance.

Had a friend years ago when Parts Basses weren't all that common. Anyway, rounded up all the bits, was assembled and painted beautifuly, then-new DiMarzio P, played and sounded great. About the decal . . . .

He'd had a graphic artist friend run up a slightly different decal that was perfectly applied in the right place, and from a distance it looked like factory. Except when you got up close, which was the only way to see what was actually printed, perfect spaghetti logo, everything . . .

F**ker Precision Bass. Fron six feet away, no one ever caught it. He explained, 'well, I couldn't put FENDER on it, wouldn't be right !'.

Sneaky guy. I always wondered, like an old girlfriend, who's playing it now.

The Fender Custom Shop would charge $500 for a decal placement adjustment. Don’t give them any bright ideas!

What do I think?

1) I think nobody noticed but you.

2) If they are the manufacturer/designer of the bass, it is (quite literally) impossible for them to place the decal in the "wrong" location. If they placed it upside down on the back of the head, and did that for every single one of those models, it would be correct, and as intended.

3) Nobody noticed but you.

4) This only bothers you.

5) Nobody cares but you.

6) Over the years, lots of Fender decals have been this close to the edge.

7) It has never bothered anyone..... except you.

They do it ultimately for identification. So people dont put a vintera neck on a squier body and try to sell it as american original, etc.

Literally the only thing different from the Classic Series 2017 vintage white 50s bass and the vintera 2018 vintage white 50s bass is an extra screw in the middle of the pickguard.

Lots of little changes only gear nerds look for. Like antique roadshow or pawn shop workers. lol.
