Why doesn't Ampeg have....?

No one I'm aware of, probably because the market demand simply isn't there. Just because you can fill a hole doesn't always mean you should... or at least that's what my girlfriend tells me
I'm sure the Berg NV610 and NV215 diluted the sales of the Fender cabs. So, there was a market for them.

I think that comes down to awareness. Once consumers understand they can get a 215 that is smaller, lighter, louder, and cheaper than an 810, 610, or 412 the demand for the 215 will increase.
Any one ever tried sealing a 6x10? I know the math guys will jump all over how it won't sound good and isn't optimal, yada,yada..., but has any one tried it?
Louder? Not sure if that's really possible if you're comparing it to equally efficient 8x10, 6x10, 4x12, and even 4x10 cabs. There's simply more speaker surface area with the other cabs.
I'm not a big fan of ported cabs as some of you may know. I would suggest getting the 410he. You might only need one but if you want two no big deal they are 8ohm cabs. I owned two briefly and It turned out I really didn't need 2 but when I had two i was able to put one in the trunk on my mitsubishi lancer and I had the other 410he and my rack sitting on the back seat. Didn't have to lay seats down or anything. So if you really want 8 10inch speakers you don't have to go out and buy a truck,van, or SUV. There are much easier to move than a 610 also. Easier to pickup and easier to roll because they have 4 wheels. Actually the 610 in my opinion is the hardest ampeg cab to move because its really to short for the kick back design.
As for ampeg designs I honestly wish they would have kept ported cabs as a separate series. Like not included in the classic series. If I ran ampeg I would build the classic series all as sealed cabs. id have a "pro" series that was all ported cabs. Maybe add another option like a 4x8 or 8x8 and I would've put better speakers in the 210av even if it ended up being a 16ohm cab. I would get rid of the pro neo and ports flex stuff. I realize there's people on talkbass That play them and like them but Ive yet to see anyone in person playing them at a show. If anything I think they are just creating competition with there self with stuff like that. So every neo or portaflex that sells is a classic cab that doesn't sell kinda vibe. If you keep an eye in this forum its pretty obvious most people either love or hate ampeg.

It is very possible.
The two kappalite 3015's are more sensitive than eight Legend B810's.
Surface area is only one part of the equation. Sensitivity and total displacement are also important.
So yeah, you can get a ~55 pound 215 that is louder than an ampeg 810. It will also have more bottom to it.
I am well aware of the SVT610HLF. Your original post was about a non ported 610 without a horn. Something that would compete directly with the 810E.
In that context, I don't see a problem with anything that I said. If they had such a cab, I don't think that they could get away with selling it for the same price as the 810E. Labor costs to build it would be the same as the 810E, material cost would be less.

Yes it could very well be that the speakers would cost more because they were buying less of them. But they buy so many speakers from eminence, it could be that their discount would make the cost at par with other speakers.
They order less of the Heritage 10" drivers than they do for the 810E. Granted the H810 is a lot more expensive.
Ampeg is planning on releasing their new V4B. You never know, maybe it will be bundled with a 610 or a 215 cab.

We used to have a Philco TV (owned by Ford).
Which actually PROVES my point. Ford would have NEVER put their name on a TV because they make cars. Why ask Ampeg to put their name on a bunch of stuff that isn't what they do well?
Yes. Do you know if those speakers are suitable for a sealed cab? If they are do you know if they even sound good in such an application?

As muddy as my 610HLF is I'm not even sure they're suited for a ported cab! Oh well. It has been as durable as an anvil...
Muddy? I've been using the 610HLF for about 8 years now and,in my experience, it's anything but "muddy". Yes, I would prefer a sealed 610, and for a while I trotted out a 410HE and a 210HE...just didn't do what I wanted - though it wasn't "bad".
Curious...what amp are you powering the HLF with?
I've had mine since 1999 and have always used a '76 SVT through it. It's not THAT bad, but certainly the murkiest cab I've owned. It's built like a tank though, which is a major plus.
That it is. I was just curious because I play a 4Pro (primarily) through mine and it screams. Occasionally I have played the ACC 370 and again, it sounds really nice. I DID play my HSVT-CL a while back and it DID seem a little darker...though it could have been, in part, due to the idea that I couldn't really "open her up" as I would have liked to...
