Why is "Chickenbacker" considered a racist term?

Anyone else notice how the Mexican guy didn't care.....??? he was like, "I don't care what you call me, If I left America your economy would spin into hyper inflation and dip into the 3rd world as all forms of construction would just about cease"

He was the only one who said that he felt one of the terms was offensive to another race, everybody else just kept trying to apply it to themselves. Yeah I'd rather chill with that guy than anyone else on that panel lol

My guess would be that this is probably the term; though I've never heard it.
Given the context, it makes far more sense than "chickenbacker".
Well...not really. the "Chi" in Chickenbacker simply represents the work China or Chinese, it's not necessarily meant to be derogatory. The fact that it refers to a cheaply made knock off item makes it sort of derogatory by default though.

Chinkenbacker would be undeniably derogatory and racist at the same time. However, it won't likely replace the term Chickenbacker because it just doesn't roll off the tongue quite as nice as Chickenbacker. Chickenbacker. hehe :)

Some guy from Canada on here just about read me the riot act and called me a full blown racist because I had disdain for mainland China and their continuous lack of scruples when it comes to their business ethics.. copy stuff, etc..

Having disdain for an entire country of over one billion people is not being a racist, it's being a bigot. There's a difference.

One of these?

"Chickenbacker" is not intended to be a compliment, I don't think. Maybe people are more upset that it's used derisively than racistly.

"Racistly"....hmmm, for some my spellcheck is trying to tell me it's not a word. Yet there it is. Eh, stupid spellcheck is also telling me "spelllcheck" isn't a word, so what do it know?
