Oh yeah, and the older guys who liked them were called "chicken hawks." I think they still are, too.I've heard the term twink.
I didn't know they used to be Chickens.
Why do I know so much about this stuff?
What are you talking about? We got "Cracka"! I love that term.Sometimes I feel like I really miss out, being white. We don't get any of the good derogatory names.
We live in a time where people let their entire life revolve around finding things to be offended about. To me, that's existing, not living.
Call it whatever you want, but Chickenbacker is pretty doggone catchy.

Not everything in the world is racist just because a few people don't like the term in question.[/QUOTI agree with Haj the way I look at it is Chinese Rickenbacker, I had a dude come into my work looking for some clear laquer to put on the fretboard he said it played good but it still isn't a real rick, plus he said that it takes 6 months from the time you order it till you receive it do to shipping from china and having to clear customs... poor guy had a 4001 that the airline lost when he moved out here to vegas from italy
I think "need" may be too strong a word...Maybe we need a Twinkenbacker bass.
