Although I've had a hard time selling a well-made BTB sixer that I just don't play much -- I'm almost always playing my upright, my 4-string fretless Fender, or my 5-string fretted Sadowsky. Offering at a fair price, so I don't know what gives.

I wonder if that is simply due to the fact that 6-string bassists are still somewhat of a rare breed and/or there aren't enough brave souls willing to take that leap. I've seen a fair few Cadillac 6ers in the classifieds at Chevy prices for that reason. If I were still a 6-string player I'd have pick of the litter. But despite having spent years on 5 and 6-strings, I'm veering back home to 4s.

I hate Ibanez basses, too. Hate everything about them. That's why they are so unpopular. And you should hate them too. Frigging firewood. :vomit::poop:

I like Ibanez just fine. I've only owned one but it was a great bass. I didn't get along well with it being a 5 string and that's the only reason that I got rid of it. It held up extremely well compared to my Jazz Aerodyne. If anybody would like me to expand on that statement I will, but for the sake of brevity, I'll stop here for right now.

While most Ibanez basses I’ve played have felt good, they just don’t look good to me so I’ve never bought one. Additionally they have had a rather clear “modern” sound, which doesn’t excite me much. The one exception, for me, was the ATK. That was a cool bass, but I haven’t seen one in person in a decade or so.
