I see 2 J-shaped objects - the Black one is commonly known to be a Crutch, while I'm not sure what the second, the Silver one, is called...???

The black thing is an icon of industrial design.

The silver thing is a standard issue Royal Navy candy cane from the annual shoreline Christmas tree on Ascension Island.

Our problem, and I suspect yours too, is a lack of mental maturity to match our ages. We're still 35 in our minds, and we're having trouble adjusting.

Calendar-wise, I turn 76 in July. Behavior-wise, I am twelve.

It’s my fervent hope. No guarantees though…

Funny story, I had a day gig for which I had to be bonded and among the many blanks that needed filling in were DATE OF BIRTH and DATE OF DEATH. So I filled out the former and then looked at the person who was having me fill out the form and asked, pointing at the blank space, “Should I fill this in now?”

He was not amused.
