Whys is Fieldy so disrespected on TB????

My input for what its worth. Korn was one of my favorite bands. When I was 13. Their music went down and my standards went up around the same time. Generally after Life is Peachy what little sophomoric appeal they may have had to me had less and less appeal and after finally seeing them live and making a butchered pathetic medley of all their best songs while playing the full version of "Freak on a Leash," I gave up. That aside, maybe feildy isn't a technically talented bass player, and I am with the general opinion of "Who cares?", but I have to give Mr. Arvizu some credit for using his instrument in a creative way.

Take a listen to this 1964 track from the First Gear. Session guitarist Jimmy Page was about 20 years old when it was recorded. Listen to the guitar throughout, but especially the solo. I'm guessing it's a Telecaster through a Vox AC30? Whatever, just listen to it and then name something equivalent that Fieldy has done.

I was a guitarist before I was a bassist, and I was never a big fan of Zeppelin-era Jimmy Page, in fact I can't stand Led Zeppelin, but there is no denying the man's talent and skill. I mean, he was a major in-demand session player before he joined the Yardbirds. Not something that an instrumentalist could be if he only had one signature "sound" and style of playing that wouldn't suit any kind of band or music except one solitary band that only appeals to a very particular commercial demographic.
