I figure that if I ever quit, it'd be the long drives that would be most difficult. Aside from after nookie or a good meal, is there a better time for cigarette than behind the wheel?

Oh, I don't know about that. Boredom, humor, spite, Sprite (really, Obey Your Thirst?? You're gettin' dogged)...I can think of a dozen reasons.

Okay, you guys got me. There are plenty of great times for a cigarette. I like one on a mountain/summit/peak/dome that I just climed/hiked, after a long mountain bike ride, sitting around a camp fire, after a cigarette...oh wait, that's too much smoking!

It's also kinda funny that this statement passes judgment on strangers. We can add "attempting to explain human behavior" to the list above.

actually, there were two incidents that got me to finally realize that i would not continue to be a smoker.

one was sitting in a beautiful scenic overlook watching the sunset. i lit up to "enjoy" the moment. i blew a big cloud of smoke out. it was a hot, humid evening so the smoke just hung there in front of me. i felt like i was totally diss'ing my natural surrounding, and myself.

the other was a friend of mine saying to me as i entered his dorm room that he knew it was me coming up the stairs. i asked how he knew. he told me he always knows when i am coming cause he hears my "signature" cough before he ever sees me.

i honestly didn't even know i had a chronic cough. that was an eye-opener....

It's a common scare tactic to paint libertarians as a bunch of lawless zealots. However that has no basis in reality.
