Please explain the "superglue and tape"? Wouldn't the superglue be crazy to get off? Sorry for the bad pun.

It's pure genius. I saw a video on it.
Basically you make super strong double sided tape by putting down a strip of masking tape on your wood, put a bead of super glue on the tape, put another strip of masking tape sticky side up on the super glue/tape, and then stick down your template.
Holds like super glue, pulls off like masking tape.

Yes, this is exactly where I got the idea and use it a LOT.

I'm glad Englishman mentioned super glue and tape. I had forgotten about the technique.

i subscribed to Crimson Guitars on you tube a while ago, was watching a lot of videos regarding using dies.

Angle grinder followed by orbital sander.

There is great figure in the wood. Maybe amber with a slight burst to exaggerate the carve?

Gorgeous! I'm really torn between giving a genuine opinion on the colour and recommending hot pink with a neon green burst to sabotage your entry.

When done right a slightly darker tobacco burst just make me weak in the knees.

Got most of the neck profile done:

Finalized the curves on the body. I printed out the bezel so I could avoid it.

Good old scrap MDF pickup templates

The neck pickup rout just needs the corners with a little less radius and it’ll be great. I’ll paint the clear pickup surround when I decide on a color for the bass.
