Since I finished the neck heel, I could rout the neck pocket. Funny that the screw holes are still visible after routing it 17mm deep. I coulda swore I used 5/8" screws for the "clamps", but then again, the box of 1" screws is covered in wax.

I'm thinking these will be my "air space holes". Generally an f-hole shape overall, with the two different circular holes offset one another, and I'm putting an oval shape between them. I traced these off the routing template that's already made. Just haven't been able to commit.

The knob layout reflects having the holes there. I may just go with one set of holes on the upper bout. This preamp has five knobs and no switches. The blend and the mid pots are the deepest, so I'll have to play with a reasonable configuration due to the radius top on the body.

I'm also not decided on the strat jack, but the satin dark walnut paint came out really nice on all of the hardware. I know a lot of people are like "strat jack? what the heck?", but I LIKE them, okay? I like how they pitch the cord up to my strap. Plus, it's kind of oval. I still may run a barrel jack through the side, but downwards at an angle when hanging from a strap, so that the cord still pitches up to my strap.

Thoughts on any of this stuff from anyone is appreciated.

Agreed.....Busy....Strat jack contributing to busy look too.....

I agree, bass side only. Also I'm seeing more of a curved hole than that straight one you have there. If you're going to do only one, I think it should be more decorative and not necessarily look anything like a standard F hole.

Agreed with one "f" hole on the bass side and maybe changing the shape (elongated oval? rounded diamond?)...
and possibly moving the output jack to the side or back.

You already have a lot going on visually with 3 big ovals.

I LOVE the bass clef style f holes. That Sawblade Rudy Sarzo acoustic displays the bass clef f hole so well!!!
