Hey, yours looks great too, just a little issue with the finish, but that will get resolved... plus you finished the other one as well. You're both killin' it.

Speaking of which, I just finished up the last of the burnt ends today for lunch.

OK, so not too much exciting stuff going on for a good post. But I think I'm done with the carving tools and I'm officially into the "scratch taking out" phase on the body. So, here are a few pictures of refined/enhanced carving and contours and on its way to be being a finely sanded thing.
I have a lot of grits to get through tonight, that's just 120 and that's just the edges of the body... I haven't touched the flats of the body yet. It's going to be a late night or an early morning I think.

Yeah, I'm workin' on it. It takes quite a lot of time to get those bevels sanded properly and completely while keeping the edges crisp and maintaining fair lines... it's a constant battle that I'll deal with all the way to the end. The good news is that the higher grits go faster.
Ha! Thanks, man. Ya see all that fuzz on the mahogany? Yeah... this is a very problematic piece of mahogany... it just keeps fuzzing and it is tough to get it to sand properly and evenly. Some very soft areas mixed in there. I've never had any mahogany do this to me before, but I've heard other folks discuss it. I'm just going to keep sanding it finer and hope it resolves itself. Currently I'm more than mildly concerned.
@HaMMerHeD beat me to it - scraper. I'd also try wetting it to raise the grain first. It helps the fibers to stand upright for the coming razor...err... scalpel.
