Winter Build Off 2022 - Get Ready

Turning Knobs....
There are some parts about using a drill press. My part is about turning them on a lathe, well…. because I have a lathe. I made quite a few with a drill press before I had the lathe though. Like anything else, if you do good work you can have a great result.
I've got all my neck woods together so I'm ready to at least make a start on the 21st.
I'm still waiting on the bits to be 'rebirthed' for the top. I got the piece I was planning to use for the back out of the pile last night, annoyingly it's not wide enough so I'll have to save that for a thru neck.

I got nothin' man. Sorry. I just don't see a way to complete a build that quickly, that's my main holdup. And my second build I've already glued up the neck blank and even gone so far as adding a scarf joint to it. So I think it's beyond the start date already. But yeah, my work flow is just too slow for a build-off.

I made several a few years back to gift to my guitar playing friends. I used the very nice Dunlop winders and turned new handles from acrylic pen blanks.
No, I'm fine with buying strings. Pretty cool though.
I just pulled this from long term storage. Time to clean it up, replace the blades, and get ready! Not bad for $25 at a yard sale.
