Winter Build Off 2022 - Get Ready

I think the big secret is to get everything together in advance, have a solid plan, and stick to it. So naturally, I'm screwed. 
Now that I'm really looking at this, the only logical way to handle this is to quit my job and tell my wife to get a second job.
Really if you think about it, an hour or two each day gives you at least 90 hours to finish. Some days off from work may see more time, some days may get skipped all together, but it's achievable in three months.
This conversation is pointless if you're just gonna be positive and reasonable.
What will really help the 3 months go super fast is if we had someone to post how much time is left in minutes every single day. Know anyone like that?
I entered the 2020 air space buildoff twice. Once near the beginning with a build I had thought about and planned carefully. And a second time with only 7 days left with a build I made up on the spot based on stuff I had on hand:

I did finish on time, but to be honest it wasn't what I would consider a success. More of a fun challenge and a learning experiment. It's a hair neck heavy and the pointy lower horn makes it uncomfortable to play up high. If I hadn't forced myself to basically make it up as I went, I could have thought those factors out more carefully. It's a shame because it sounds amazing, but I just don't play it much.

Seriously though, I guess a bag of 100 for $75 isn't bad, if I start producing instruments for sale and making tons of wooden knobs. Or, just make wooden knobs. I saw some on etsy for like $50 for 2.

That's what I'm after. But I need a small quantity and with shipping, a buck a piece is steep. I'm going to cruise amazon for a small batch and see if I can score maybe 20 or so for under $20.

I don't know that I'll use an insert on mine (I'm planning to do some for my build), but it won't ever see gig type use, so they probably won't get handled much. And yeah, wenge is pretty dang hard. I'm probably just gonna press them on and call it good.
