You guys are hilarious! I take a couple days off and you go and try to help me make the case for both a CNC and professional proofreader. Sounds like I might need to get a second job to pay for all of it...
The neck mounting holes are drilled out and recesses are made for the ferrules.
Body contours are shaped with files in preparation for final sanding.
The cavity area is taped off as a precautionary measure in order to prevent any inadvertent clamping or pressure. Here I've also taped off the bridge area in order to drill out the bridge ground wire recess.
The side jack is drilled out using a Forstner bit.
Also in preparation for final sanding, the contour on the fingerboard extension is cut using the bandsaw and then cleaned up with a rotary sander.
I love it when a plan comes together!

Next steps are to rout the battery compartment and recesses for the rear covers, shape the tummy cut and then - unbelievably - it's into final sanding for this body and neck.
Just the thought of it is giving me heartburn...
The neck is attached for the first time, so I can lay out the bridge and drill out the five screw holes.

Right? Even the grain pattern on the headstock is identical!
That's the plan! Two coats of General Finishes Seal-A-Cell (in the red can) and then a bunch of coats of Arm-R-Seal over that.
I'm normally a big fan of using dyes to do tiger-eye finishes. But on these particular maple slabs, the grain differential and chatoyant color shift is so extreme on its own. It would be a mistake to cover these stripes!
