Rumor has it that most sinkholes around here are due to farmers over watering making the underground streams cave in.

When i lived in south Alabama my shallow well ran dry and the guy who drilled my new well told me the water table had fallen due to farmers sinking irrigation wells.
My shallow well was just over sixty feet deep, my new well went almost two hundred feet.

Those Trepel’s are great.. my company purchased some of those about 2 years ago.. it’s actually a better tractor ... I do miss my “bat mobile “ though

Winter brought us snow twice, then in no time it got hot. We spent a week setting new high temp records for feburary; and rain, lots and lots of rain. My shop is up the hill from the house and for the first time we’re having days where it’s too wet to drive a vehicle up fourty feet of a gentle incline. Walking on our lawn is like walking on a sponge. It’s raining right now and is forecast to continue unabated until saturday. We spent most of January in the teens and twenties, then most of February in the sixties to low nineties. Now we are back to high thirties and low fifties, and it’s been almost almost constantly wet since new years day, snowing, sleet/ice and now plain old rain.

We had a rare occurrence here in Sac the day before yesterday. I was surprised the roads were relatively accident free.

This was out my back door at work.

Yep...it took late February/early March for us to finally get December/January weather.

A lot of rain in the valley/snow in the mountains today.

8 to 16 inches expected here tomorrow, and I doubt that's the last one we'll see this year... ...gotta get that snowblower running today...

It's supposed to be 68 in Fort Collins today, 69 tomorrow, possible snow Sunday.

We generally follow this news with "Welcome to Colorado!"

Sounds tropical! It's been 17F (-8C) here overnight, then the power went off this morning for about 4 hours...

Oh man, power outages in that weather can be deadly.
I put up with a lot of power outages my first couple of years in the Land of Smiles, but we're talking actual tropical environment, so I wasn't concerned with freezing to death.
