Select the 'go advance' settings for the post and above the text box to the right of the white smiley face you will see a paper clip icon - click it an then select you attachments.

There are quite strict size limitations, so most of us sign up to an online photo gallery (I used photobucket.com) upload you pics there and then copy the image address and paste it between and 'Bob's your uncle' you'll get your picture appearing by magic in your post!

Gang; My zebrawood Fantasy ships Monday - to arrive next Friday like they always do. FB is wenge, as per my first build sheet, but I did try to change that later, but he forgot. No biggie though, and I know well the problem with changing your mind mid-stream. I have been going back and forth about FB wood and still am really, although I think purpleheart may be the way to go, or good ole' ebony. Anyway, without any side dots to get in the way, I can radious this neck all I want! I'm looking forward to that. I'll send pix when I can, for sure ...

Right click on the picture in your 'my AOL', or if you're using a Mac then its ctrl + click

You should get a 'copy image address' option. Select that and then paste that between a
in your post. (Don't type paste here!)

A persimmon bridge (to match the fingerboard) would also look great. I bet Wish can make you one in any wood he has in stock for a nominal fee. Just send him the height and length measurements. Persimmon, Ebony, or Purpleheart would look great...and all are very hard, dense woods.

Well kids, no luck on getting Wish's gi-normous completion photos out of AOL into this thread. I've tried everything I can think of and nothing is working. I am having an IT guy come over this week to do some stuff to my computer and I will ask him to help me with this situation as well. If nothing else, I will just shoot my own 'as-is' pictures when it arrives next Friday. Looking at these 2 photos though, is showing me I have some real work to do where the body joins the neck, on both sides -perhaps more than usual since I asked him to make my neck more narrow than he likes, AND it is 30" scale. - Can't wait to dig into it!

How about opening the email to view the images, print screen (screen shot on the Mac), edit in Paint (Preview on the Mac) for size/cropping?

Thanks to your suggestions and some persistence on my part; viola - Wish's shots of the completed short scale Fantasy! FB is wenge, NO side dots, rear control panel, neck w/2 purpleheart stringers and best of all, he ships tomorrow. (It should arrive on Friday.) You might notice that as per my request, I asked Wish to "point" the headstock on the left side instead of the right. I hope to resculpt that to more blend with the Fantasy 'wave' shapes. I'll post other photos after I take possession ... Good night!

That zebrawood is going to really pop with some finish. Congratulations and enjoy the process. I'll be very curious to see how flat you can get the fingerboard.

I haven't brought one of my Wishbasses to a gig in a long time but I did the other day. One of my Scarabs, the one in my avatar actually. Bass sure got a lot of looks, not sure if they were positive or negative, more like "what the ..... is that?". I love playing the bass at home, sounds cool, probably great to record with, but live, I could barely hear the thing. I had to turn my amp up probably double the amount of with my other basses, even the passive ones. Then I remembered why I hadn't brought one to a gig in a while. I had the same problem with a couple other Wishes I had brought a year or two ago. Just can't hear the dang things. Low output, sounds great, just really low output. Have you guys had this problem? I am starting to think that at least for mine, they will remain as art, not a bass for any kind of practical use. A little disappointed. I'm sure they can be modified to have more output but I am really not into modding. I'd probably have to though if I really wanted to use one of these live.

Are you using the same type of strings as your other, higher output basses? I find that Thomastik-Infeld strings provide much great output compared to most strings.

Well, this doesn't sound good. Since I am a gigging drummer but not a gigging bassist yet, this is undiscovered territory - yet still disconcerting! Beyond string type, any other suggestions or feedback from others who have actually gigged their Wish basses?

Is the output the same for all your Wishbasses? You might check the wiring. Wish got the ground and hot messed up on one of mine. A quick soldering job fixed it.

Yeah, more or less the output is about the same. Really gotta' crank that amp volume up high. Granted this is rock, so I am really driving it. With strings, I hate the sound of flats. To me, flats sound deader than year-old roundwounds, but that is just my taste, some people love them. In any event, I haven't noticed much difference in output string to string with various brands, at least with rounds. Could be a wiring problem, but even if I opened up the cavities I wouldn't know what I was looking at. Operational-wise all my Wishes have been fine, other than occasional grounding buzz.

James: I am curious as well, about the wenge issue. I wish now that I had not asked for wenge on the original build order, because Wish is forgettful about changes made after-the-fact, so my bad. I really wish now I could have gotten a purpleheart FB after hearing my new JB. I guess if down the line I really have to have another FB, I could consider planing the old one off and putting one on myself. (I think I have the skills to do that - gulp ...) Anyway, I don't really have the discernment yet with this instrument to know and/or hear all the differences, but someday I will. For now, I am pretty easy to please, which is a good thing in a way ...

On another note, the Stude just received coat 2 of Tru-Oil and is looking awesome! I think my only 'regret' is perhaps having not used something less shiny, like a Watco oil or something like that. I didn't realize when I applied the Tru-Oil sealer that the end result would be so shiny - by them I was committed. The walnut on this one seems to be asking for a more subtle finish. Oh well, I can always strip and refinish some day down the road. - more fun for later on ...
