Welcome to the Wishbass thread.
Whoah, just when you think you've seen it all. The body wood is pretty spectacular, and I don't think I've ever seen that body style before. I'm absolutely positive I have never seen a headstock like that. I would love to see a close up of the headstock. Did you order this custom?
yup! i had for awhile now, its number #167.. i drew the design on a piece of paper and steve came very close to what i put down i had always liked the scroll design...i paid a little xtra for the wood thou....he calls it waterfall bubinga or curly bubinga...its heavey but has a very clear tone. ill send a pic of the headstock in a bit! thanks

Say, about the pix - I struggled with that for the longest time. It is very limiting to use the upload feature on this forum because it puts limits on how much space you can take up. If you download your photos into Photobucket.com and store them into an album there, you can directly link them to Talkbass and get the bigger pix you see on this thread. Others smarter than me about computers might be better suited to walking you thru that, but I just learned and it's great. Now I can attach pix without fear of download space usage and having to delete older pictures back in the thread to stay within the limit.
Please tell us more about this wonderful bass of yours - number, woods used, how you got it, - all of that! Ciao, and welcome aboard ...

yup! its custom! 34" scale lenght, Ebony fingerboard, Curly Bubinga or what steve said was waterfall bubinga..or something like that..I want a wood that would give a strong low mid sound and told me he had a piece of bubinga that he was saving but if i wanted it he will only charge me like $75 bucks more versus the flame maple i was looking at. im glad i made that choice not for its looks but soundwise and it does have a single kent Armstrong PU. One word can describe the sound would be deep but very pronounce clear sound with a good sustain..i use it mostly for jazz or latin music sound is similiar to the sound of a EUB.
Ebony board, bubinga body, KA pickup, sounds like you made all the right choices the first time. If I had a bass that awesome as my first Wishbass, I don't know if I would have gotten another, for fear of disappointment. That would be a hard act to follow.
What city are you in? If you ever do a gig in the L.A. area I would love to hear you play that instrument.

thanks! i live in san antonio thou.... i actually had 5 string version as the same as my 4 string but i sold it awhile back...the only difference was that it was a 35 inch scale and walnut body...probaly one of the best b strings i had ever heard....god i miss that bass! 
I so want another Wish...I what a similar design as what I have, just witha larger body. I want the upper horn to curl out closer the the 12th fret mark.
Dannyssx; Hey, I'm moving to Austin this spring. Maybe one day we can meet and I can actually see your bass in person. The woods on that thing are beyond gorgeous. Dannyssx; Wow, a seven string - I gotta see that. The Peanut body style is one I do not have and want to get eventually. It seems like it would be a comfortable shape to be playing while sitting down - is that correct?that will be awesome!!!! i do have a seven string as well but my ex wife has it.. its an early peanut bass....i should get it back soon i hope.....
By the way, I just relisted on Ebay an early Scarab that I sold a couple of weeks ago and the buyer flaked out on me. I hate to sell it since the neck is so fine on it, but I can't keep 2 of any one body style at this time - my poor wife!
Yup! the peanut style is very comfortable... i always would ask steve to give the bottom horn a nice arch so it can balance better while sitting....at one time i had 6 custom wishbasses including a EUB he built for me. I was one of steve's earlier customers but do to tough times i had to let some of them go..so far i only kept 3. A custom 4 as pictured, a seven string peanut and last the show stopper.....which steve nicknamed the beast with a split personality.....pics will be posted soon to unveil the BEAST....to give u a hint...its a custom design by yours truely and its the only one of its kind that steve has ever built...its so usual that i get people ask me what the f*** is that!!! i even get crowds of people whenever i take it in to a music store....ITS A MONSTER!!!!!
