I will. I've had three, but sold them all. I've always wanted one with an ebony fingerboard so seeing RGordon's made me contact wish. I'm gonna take my time to do the finish, though.

I myself am contemplating selling either my Wish or the Brice fretless 6er, as I want to try out one of Krappy's upright 3-strings (mama's capped my number of basses). I think I'm going to unload the Brice and keep the Wish.

you can always get another Brice. Wishbass has a limit. If he's going to stop building them soon, they may become a rarity.

Advance warning!!!
I've just completed a refin' of my fantasy Wishbass. I'll post some pics in the next couple of days (once the sun comes out and I can get some good natural light!) and also once my new ebony control knobs arrive!
I'm very happy with the results!!!
I've cleaned up the curves a bit, sanded down to 1200grit and then finished with a hand-rubbed oil finish.
As I've posted before, I've fitted one of 3stringpete's Wishbass control harnesses (a great upgrade!). The next visible change is that I've replaced the metal control plate with a wooden one (flamed maple!). I've also fitted a new black bridge. As with all my basses I've fitted Schaller strap-locks.

Thank you! I think it turned out quite well. It took alot of sanding, oiling, waxing, a new bridge and a pre, but its got a lot going for it now.

Well here 'she' is, my refin Wishbass #827; a fantasy model.
For those interested in the woods: The front is curly maple, the back is african mahogany, the neck is walnut with purple heart and maple stringers and the fingerboard is jatoba.
As before, I've cleaned up the curves a bit (actually quite a lot!) sanded down to 1200grit and then finished with a hand-rubbed oil finish on the body and neck and finishing oil on the fret board.
I think the hardest bit for me was getting the curve/contour right at the neck/body marriage. The original didn't follow the curves of the body and was rather angular heading up to the upper horn.

Very pretty!!! If you would be willing, could you post a photo of you holding the bass...of of it next to another more traditionally shaped bass? I have a really hard time visualizing the scale of a Wishbass because the fingerboard is so long. Thanks!

And I expected the body to be smaller (shorter)... Precisely the reason I asked to see this bass relative to some known point of reference. My brain isn't programmed to process those three octave fingerboards.

If I recall correctly, right at about $600, but that included the really nice Gator case, in addition to paying extra for the trussrod & ebony fretboard...
(Sorry it's taken me a while to respond - I haven't checked in here for the last week and a half or so.) Anyhow, it looks like in the interim you pulled the trigger. Congrats!
