Worlds First Drum Machine in Pedal Form!

Man, oh MAN! I would really like to buy this at the $199 (plus Int'l shipping) before it goes up to the normal retail price, but money is tight right now. I'm so torn!!!

I can't necessarily afford it now, nor do I necessarily need it right now but I know that it would be a solid investment for work I want to do in the future. I'm torn. Don't know what to do...

I had trouble coming up with $199 this time of year, too.

It looks like an excellent value, though. Otherwise it wouldn't have made $253,648 (as of this morning). The original goal was only $75,000.

I don't at all question it's worth. I'm pretty sure it will do everything I need it to. It's simply a question of the money at the moment. I can buy it, but it will make things tight.
But things will be tighter if I then buy it at full price.
Sheesh...what to do, what to do :)

This is one of the worst conundrums that I face with GAS. If there is something I'm definitely GASsing for "in the future" that I see at a GREAT price, I rarely pass it up. While we pretty much always knew the Beat Buddy would have this sort of pricing structure, it's basically the same situation. I was compelled! :D:hiding::D

Found a nice custom little latching foot-switch that will fit perfectly on my board. I went the single route for space constraints and also for actual personal function (I can live without the tap tempo and next song.) Here it is: (2.4"x1.5")

Here's me with my shirt and cheesy grin:

My board has a spot for the BeatBuddy waiting for it since September!

Off eBay for 12.99 shipped. It's made of hard plastic but for the price and size it's perfect for me.

Oh man that's hard to beat. I was thinking of getting a custom one with both switches, but that price and footprint are hard to beat. Like you, the accent hits would be more important to me than the tap tempo or song advance, although I would still like to have it all.

Do you happen to have a link if the seller is selling any more, or was this a one-time item?

The Hosa dual switch is $16.74 now:

I took mine apart to see if the tilted design wasted space. I discovered that the box would have to be taller if the switches weren't tilted.

The jack could probably be moved to the side, but I got a 90 degree cable instead.

I looked at that one as well and needed something that had a max size of a 1590A enclosure (my board is very very compacted; lots of pancake cables and careful placing) but that option looks both sturdy and inexpensive!

A 1590A looks like it would do fine for two switches and a jack. Building it yourself is probably your best option.

I thought about that option as well but with as compacted as it's going to be and with the proximity of the switches in its area it had to be a single switch. I was actually going to make a single switch in a 1590A when I came upon this which would fit a LITTLE bit nicer. Can't wait to see what everyone uses and in what context!

:bassist:

Did you buy one? If so, are you happy with it????

Besides the money issue (I have it, just was holding on to it for an emergency. GAS'ing IS and emergency, but not the kind I had in mind ;) ) part of me is worried that I'll buy it, and then after a few uses, it will end up sitting in the corner, gathering dust.

'Early Investors' are scheduled to receive their 'perk' (the product) in April. General availability (retail) in August.

At last update.

So - nobody has anything yet. Clearly there are some prototype pedals around, per the product demo videos. But no real production, as far as we, the buying public, know...
