Worlds First Drum Machine in Pedal Form!

It's almost July! Can't wait to get my hands on this baby. I haven't gotten an email confirming my shipping address yet, so I assume that this is still forthcoming?

7 minutes after you posted I got my e-mail requesting shipping address confirmation! (I was typing this before I saw you got yours as well.) Not sure what this means for a time table.

And if David is reading this, I have two questions about the footswitch:

(1) The e-mail I just got mentions something about $20 off retail price in the context of the footswitch...does this mean that the footswitch is only $29 if you order with your Beat Buddy now and will be more expensive later on?

(2) I know you mentioned something about testing the Beat Buddy with the Pigtronix Infinity Looper momentary footswitch, does this mean that the Beat Buddy footswitch will work with the Infinity also?

I am planning on using this with a looper if possible. Since midi was added, am I going to need a looper with midi to keep the beat buddy in sync with the looper? My current looper does not have midi functionality and anything midi related is still pretty new to me. Just wondering what direction I need to go in here

MIDI sync requires that you go a little more expensive for loopers, certainly things like the Ditto/Ditto X2 will not cut it. I found a good deal on the Pigtronix Infinity Looper and went that direction. I know the Boomerang III is another option in that same class, I assume the highest-end Boss loopers do it, I think I also saw MIDI on the TC Electronics Alter Ego.

The Alter Ego x4 sure does!

Confirmed shipping address!

Can't wait!

I just got my address confirmation email as well. I previously ordered the footswitch, and ordered the MIDI cable this morning as well. I don't have any current plans for a MIDI board, but I'm completely overhauling my bigger board at the moment and three pedals already include MIDI, so I figured what the hell... just in case.

5sg.

Facebook response to these questions:

Beat Buddy Facebook Page said:
Hi Adam, yes the $29 is a special pre-order price. MSRP will be $49. And yes, the BeatBuddy footswitch should also work with the Infinity.

It should be added that it is a delay effect with significant looping capabilities, not a dedicated looper.

I think at this point it's safe to assume everyone who has ordered one received the shipping confirmation e-mail. UNLESS we're all just Indiegogo supporters and not the later pre-order orderers.

It was also mentioned (borderline promised) that the editing software would be available for preview "well before" the availability of the hardware.
Middle-of-July is but 2 weeks out now and I still have not heard anything about availability of the software suite and media.

just preordered MyBeatBuddy after stumbling across this thread :) - September delivery though, feels a long way away.

Those of us who got in on the Indiegogo campaign in December would like to say, "That's cute." :D
