Sorry- you are correct. I guess I would speculate a late delivery though based on their latest update. Hopefully I'm wrong!

One more thing that I may or may not have said a few pages back. I had an e-mail exchange with David in mid-June about the fact that I'm moving in late July (about two weeks from now) and I need to know which address I should put down for shipping. He was very optimistic about the shipping dates and said that I should put down my current address. Take that's FWIW.
We seem to be allowing our perspectives, whether optimistic or pessimistic, distort our vision of the future when we really have little information about and no control over the situation. We have not reached the "projected" deadline for delivery. We were told communication might be sketchy at this time. But the biggest factor is that we really have no choice at this time but to let events play out as they will. To quote from something old, "Waiting is; until fullness." - Robert Heinlein "Stranger in a Strange Land"
When a return speculated for July 30th, why should he be back by now?
I was going to add the same thing about the China trip, although based on those dates he should be back by now. Jetlag?

Baffling. Your expectations are not in accordance with reality.
There is an alarming lack of perspective in this thread. Those that have been closely following this seem to be reasonable, and those that pop in once every 6 months seem to have unrealistic notions about the process. Take a deep breath people, we've seen no indications that the product won't get to us, its just delayed. Play with your other pedals in the meantime, play with yourself, whatever...but bitching in this thread accomplishes absolutely nothing.

Ah but you to good sir seem to be jumping to conclusions, but that's cool.
I actually asked for a refund not bassed on delays or what not, but simply because for my needs, there is no point in building a backing track with garageband, exporting bits of it only to reimport them bit by bit in another software to finally put them on a pedal. I can just use my mac instead and I'll be just fine.
I jumped the gun to fast on the pre-order without having a good look at how the pedal was loaded, thinking to much of the online librairy. I looked at the pedal and went omg! That would be so cool!!!
I figure the thing's not shipped, so might as well save on useless shipping costs. What ruffled my feathers a lot was absolutely no reply to any mails. Didn't know about the trip to china when I asked for help.

Hey may or may not have been referring to your decision to cancel your order. As far as the response time to your e-mail, I would never assume a 24 hour response; I would give most businesses at least two business days to respond before I felt they were not doing their jobs (especially for a smaller business). And of course, the China trip is a huge factor in this particular case.
That's actually one of the main reasons I didn't jump in on the pre-orders. I was really excited to use my own samples for drums as I've done with several drum machines in the past, but with the BB I'd have to create the beats with another program before importing them. I'm still keeping watch on the progress because I could still see some use for one regardless once I've heard some more real-world experience.
Obviously we'd all like to get our hands on the BeatBuddy because it's such a cool new idea in the music/pedal world. But you know what? I'd rather have it take extra time and have it be that much more polished and tight as a final product. I'm not going to stress about a couple months here and there, because when it comes down to it, we're in on the ground floor of a new product, new company, new idea and that's just darn cool. We're going to be the beta testers of the BeatBuddy, and I'm looking forward to it. And I tell you what, it's not like I don't have a shortage of cool toys and gigs to keep me busy.
As others have pointed out, we also have to keep in mind that this is a completely grassroots funded project. It's not a company like Boss who has millions of dollars and all the resources already in place to back up a new product. David is sourcing all these elements as a new development, and stuff like that never goes as fast as expected. There are probably way more variables and wrinkles to iron out than we know about.

Yeah, I had an idea for a new product a couple of years ago and did the whole business plan thing, hired a designer, lined up a manufacturer, etc. etc. Chickened out. It was a HUGE financial bet I decided was too big to take. Takes a lot of guts to start a project like this from scratch and actually make it happen. David: I'm rootin' for ya!

And the thing about crowdfunding is, the financial bet has ostensibly been eliminated, as they received about 4 and 2/3 times their goal. So that's not a concern. The only concerns are (1) if it's somehow a scam or (2) if it's just mismanaged all to heck such that they blow that incredible investment. Given that we're continuing to see updates and progress, albeit slower than we might like, indicates that neither of those are the case.

I'm not sure what those dates mean. I ordered in December on the day the Indiegogo campaign started, and I thought the Indiegogo campaign ended in February. There were subsequent stages of pre-orders not through the Indiegogo campaign, and they've always claimed that the shipping dates will be staggered based on when you ordered.
What this actually means for an early crowdfunder like me, I don't know.

Just got a nice email from them (Eli),
I was not getting any response because he was bedridden for the last few days, apparently you need to be careful what you eat in china!
Anyhow, fully refunded, all is good, they's good people and I'm a shmuck.
