I think the tone of the link and what you said are a little different---one is making light of the wait, the other is being pretty pessimistic. That's why I said that. But fair enough, I'll take your word for it on your own intentions.

I'll eat some crow for Christmas as long as I can do it to the sweet beats of a real pedal! Merry xmas to ME! I really hope I dont have to wait THAT long but it has been dragging out for a bit. To be fair, David was incorporating changes along the way and all big projects / productions tend to slide to the right. It seems on the level, and it isn't a $5K bass like Mr Huff was touting... I'll be stoked when it does arrive. Whenever that may be!

That kind of assurance is reasonable. It has value, and that's why you'll have to pay more (unless you get a used one).

I've expected delays with a new, independent manufacturing startup. And I want to see David succeed, almost as much as I want the device itself.

Cajun Cooking's
Black Bird Pie
Ingredients:
3 1/2 cups self-rising flour
1 cup very warm water (almost hot)

Directions:
Mix little biscuit dough. Knead 'til tough and dry - roll with rolling pin 'til very thin and cut into 2-inch strips.

(Clean birds according to information posted under recipe)
BIRDS:
25 black birds well covered with water
3/4 lb. sausage (link) - optional

Cook until tender (at least 1-2 hours). Salt and pepper to taste. When black birds are tender, keep broth at a rolling boil and drop in pastry - piece by piece, shaking pot constantly to keep pastry pieces separated. When all is in pot, place cover on and let cook for approximately 10 minutes. Let set for about ten more minutes. Then eat.

If you are unfamiliar with making pastry from scratch, you can substitute canned biscuits (roll individually with rolling pin). Or buy frozen pastry from bakery. If you use canned biscuits, let set for one-half hour and roll or flatten again to thinness desired.

I agree it's reasonable. For me, the money was a big deal---$179 for the earliest supporters vs. $349 for the final retail street price. So the irony was I was willing to take a bit of a risk to get those savings.

Now, I'm not naive enough to think that the Beat Buddy is a 100% guarantee to have no bugs or quirks on the first time through. Having said that, I'll reiterate that I was super happy with this last update, to realize they needed a new mold design to reinforce the footswitch to me implies a reasonable level of rigorous testing and is pretty reassuring.

After dealing with crappy phone apps (which get updated and often lag between loops *GRRRRR*) and overly cumbersome DAWs and drum machines, this is a NO-BRAINER to me. Thanks David, for making such a useful tool! Hope you get all the success you deserve.

Dang! Just missed the 27 May cutoff. Thanks for the consistent updates, David, it helps keep us backers confident that we're getting a product built on quality not a deadline. That said, I can't wait to get this thing.

And I know you guys are waiting on the software, but we've been adding some additional features and taking care of some minor bugs (as well as perfecting the content)... so I'd rather release a more complete product than having a half finished thing floating around. It's coming soon!
