the manta has a clean blend already on it and overdrive. You might be better off using the LS-2 to split your signal with your Meatbox so you can send the subs straight to the front of house and use it that way.

My notes on this

-I like to run my comp before my OC-2, allows for better tracking and longer notes, and less glitching esp when long notes are held out

-I like to run the Meatbox after the driver, it tracks better than the OC-2 so that's not a concern, and after the driver prevents the driver from over-distorting when it gets hit with the ultra low end

-OC-2 and Meatbox aren't really dupes, I use both quite often, for different things - both are great - right on with those!

-I wouldn't utilize the Line Selector in this setup, personally

-the EQ could either be always on or with a bump for certain effects, but because of the level bumping I'd also add that after the driver

-BTW I tend to keep my driver on all the time, so my suggestions are based on my personal use

No technical wrong way as long as it works!

What is the plan for using both the Soul Food and the Cali?

As mentioned, Noble last to utilize the DI with all effects in the chain

your right Oc-2 tracks well before the Comp..

Soul Food ill match it with the Manta (Filter) to fat the sound..

Cali76 ill keep last before SA eq.

It was suggested to me to go OC-2 first, but after trying it worked better comp first.

Also, comp last will amplify some undesirable noise. It can be used that way for peak limiting, but you'll amplify any static, noisier parts of the overdrive, and pedal switch clicking when engaging.

Although like I said, no wrong way

The Noble and Cali76 CB play very well together, and have an awesome synergy. Over the last 2+ years, I've used mine both at the beginning and end of the signal chain. Currently it is 'always on' and at the end - just before the microThumpinator and then to the Noble. Both locations work very well. I use a loop for reverb, echo and octave currently, but after a suggestion here, I may move the reverb. I haven't had a concentrated time where I can just mess around at volume. I almost always go direct, and when I do, I use the HPF on the Noble because of the 8 subs at church. I used to use the Noble's power supply for all, but some of the pedals like isolated power better, so now I use it for some and the Aetos for most. Again, experiment.

Currently in the process of selling all my pedals, TU-3, Ernie Ball VP, AfterShock, SpectraComp, Bass Fuzz Deluxe, and VT Bass DI.

Going to go super simple with simply PolyTune 3, DG Super Symmetry, DG Alpha Omega. and probably stay away from effects for a while. I have had chorus pedals, delay pedals. I am understanding now I am not a guitar player and want simple.

Has anyone else gone through the effect whirlpool just to come out and go simple?

I think I'm on my way there. I already sold my delay and my gas for bass modulation is practically gone. I'm still holding on to my octave/fuzz/filter combo for some funk rock but lately I've been rolling with a tuner, milkbox comp, and bddi v2 and I just love the simplicity

I've been heading the other direction lately, with chorus and reverb. Has anyone tried going stereo to FOH, using stereo chorus and/or reverbs? I expect the house will send the low end to the subs and split mids/highs to each side maybe?

I'm still churning away in the votex! I got a H9 and am working to do midi controls on it. LOVE the sound, especially on my fretless.

Yeah but mainly because of what we play. Also fine this way in my covers band only having dirt because we do a couple of Muse covers.

Yes, don't get me wrong, I love effects, but they just don't work for me. I tried chorus, flanger, phaser, wah, auto wah and delay I think. Just to realise all I need is compression and distortion on a bunch of songs. Besides a tuner and a preamp/DI which is just convenient.

I go through the cycle about once a year. My small pedalboard (Metro 20) now only has the Tuner > Super Symmetry > Broughton HPF (always on mounted underneath at this time) > Vintage Ultra > FOH or Genzler/Baer
I sold that B3K, because I also have a B3K v2 - and the Hall of Fame is in the classifieds currently. Both are because I wanted a super simple grab-and-go setup. These cover my essentials.
Go for it!

I guess I need to read up on the high pass filter. I've seen them but not sure what they do.
