What about an HX Stomp? Same Helix sounds, smaller package, and smaller price. Some limitations vs a full Helix (like changing snapshots or only using 6 (7?) blocks), but it depends on how you intend to use it. Plus, if you found something you like why not stick with it?

I have always wanted to check out that church. I played for the vineyard and other churches in the area.
Washington and Oregon worship has been great but home is home:)
When I am back...just may have to check out Flatirons! Heard a lot of great things.
That being said, I was very happy with my SLO3 bass pre and nordy vj5 for worship this morning. IEM bliss!

Spark as an edgy OD, MojoMojo as a big fat tube OD(almost distortion-like). We’ve been experimenting with 2 outputs from VTDI - DI as an amp tone(slightly dirty, B-15 vibe) and clean Parallel Output to REDDI. Really loving the flexibility of this pedal!

Have you done a lot of experimenting with your Spectracomp? Do you use it purely as a compressor or fiddled with the tone downloads? Do you ever do any on the fly changed using your phone?

I know you didn’t ask me, but I love my Spectracomp. I’ve raved about it elsewhere on the forum. It’s dead simple. Only issue for me is the volume difference between presets. You can tweak every imaginable variable and make your own presets, but you can’t make changes to the artist presets. I wound up settling on the default TonePrint which I just made a couple of changes to. Adjusted the overall volume and the ratio just slightly. Works for me. It doesn’t really add much of anything to your tone like “flavor” or “secret sauce,” but it’s a great, simple, transparent multi-band compressor. On the fly changes live would be difficult because it makes an audible static noise like a fax machine when sending the TonePrint through the pickups. You’d have to have a mutable pedal after the TonePrint or it would come through your amp and be a bit of a distraction.

Honestly, I just found a TonePrint I liked, set it and forget it kind of approach. It just fattens up my tone a little and smoothes out the peaks from live playing. Dead simple, amazing pedal!

Thanks! The videos of the various artists making there tone prints are pretty funny. But it makes sense that you'd be able to find some that'd work.

I assume there is no visual feedback in the app that shows the gain reduction when you're playing?
