Looks really nice and simple! Sometimes the key to a good tone is to keep it simple - less clutter in the signal path. You only run one output direct to FOH. Does this mean that you don't run an amplifier on stage? So you get your monitor sound in return from FOH to a stage monitor? Or do you use IEM? Just curious... ;-)

Personally I wouldn't be able to do that in our church since our stage monitors don't play bass and we don't have IEM's :-D

I run the DI from my TC Electronics BQ500 amp to FOH. The BQ500 is set to send the DI pre-EQ - that way I still have the EQ on the BQ500 to tweak my stage sound (and maybe turn down the bass just a little bit - if it gets to massive on stage without affecting my tone to FOH (and to our feed to the online viewers of the service) ;-)

No amp. One output to FOH. Each musician has their own Live Mix for IEM.

Hmm.... tough choice. Both the Oracle and Simone are fantastic. Easily in my top 5 list. I need to try an Oracle with the integrated DI. I will say the Simone has this wonderful organic, full and rich flavor. The sensitivity control is really something magical. I find the Simone to be more pedalboard friendly even though it is taller than the Oracle. I could never get an Oracle on a Pedaltrain Nano.

I didn't expect to see the Brimar tubes from Effectrode so quickly! Installed them, and decided to replace the Cali76 CB with the LA-1A on the Metro16 for the next two Sundays (at least)

Strymon is very much guitar friendly gear. I'm also a long term Eventide H9 and Source Audio fan. I had the Strymon Mobius a long time until I flipped it a month ago. It was hard to part it for sure. I'm not convinced it's the best Chorus around for bass, but certainly very good. The other device models on there like the flanger, rotary and trem are just top drawer. Some of the best available full stop! I just wish the chorus had a low retain blend option for bass...then it would still be on my board. I flipped it out for a Source Audio Lunar and the few things that the SA pedal can't do...I have an H9 to plug those gaps.

I was speaking as a guitar player, he would be happy with Strymon and Wampler. I think there are other o=more bass friendly effects choices.

Just put this together and am pretty happy with it. That little BECOS Comp IQ is a very Keeley Bassist-ish. It's obviously not the exact same, but definitely has the same feel...

I don't use the B1ON for much, I really just have an AC BS Pre standing in as a Low Pass Filter. Oh sure, I have a couple patches made up for grins, but nothing I seriously use.

Rocking a Thumpinator for the second time. I had one a long time ago and didn't feel like it was helping me, so I moved it. I was able to scoop one up and am back to super happy with what it does. Have been playing with an amp more lately so maybe that has something to do with it...

Spectra Drive is loaded up with a Clean Boost patch where the overdrive goes. between that and the gain knob you can get some (for what it is) decently tasty breakup. The 9901 Funk Patch in the Spectracomp slot is very musical. I kind trade around between that and the BECOS, and am actually using both at the same time currently. If I keep the 9901 patch below 9 o'clock it will play nicely with the BECOS.

I may compact things up and put a legit LPF on instead of the B1ON, but only if I fell into one..

For those whose boards change on a regular basis, this seems like an interesting solution. Lets you expand and shrink without necessarily getting a different board. Or you go between a Nano and a Nano+ for example. I thought it looked interesting and it's "locally" made in Minneapolis.

I looked at them. I settled on a Morton Board. It's a pretty similar design concept. Modular pedalboard. I'm also a little partial since they featured my board on their site!
