I think there's a different connection for chaining. I think the USB is for phone and tablet and wireless charging.

The USB on the DC7 is not for chaining. It is for powering things like cell phones/tablets. The chaining is done with the port that looks like a standard "Boss" jack.

Now, the really cool little Cioks 4 can be powered by USB.

The DC7 offers more configurations than the Eventitde white label product to justify the higher price.

IMO, CIOKS power supplies are the best on the market currently.

I love my Cioks DC-7 and Cioks 4 combination on my Metro 24! However, they are not being fully utilized at this time, as I am using my Metro16 for a while.

Falling out of love with my SFT as an always on OD ahead of my Q-Strip. If I push the gain much past 9, it seems like too much for the mix I am in. I keep hanging on to my Spark Booster, but I'm feeling like another character is what I am going for. I've been looking into the Beta line of pedals from SolidGoldFX, any other suggestions for something that can give a nice character without getting too bright?

This looks really clean. Are you using the Benson as an EQ change or boost, or overdrive?

The EQ controls on the Benson are just filters, so Treble = LPF, Bass = HPF. This is actually perfect for bass.

I just leave the HPF all the way open to let all the bass in, and I was shocked how much low end it has at even high gain levels.

I have the Benson set just where the FETs in it start to "choke" a little bit, so when that goes into the Tone Hammer, I get a nice almost-fuzz sound. It's the perfect middle ground in between my normal Tone Hammer tone and the sub octave fuzz sound the MicroSynth does. Sometimes you want to give it the beans but don't necessarily want the sub octave to come in yet so it's great!

For those wondering though - the Benson is VERY amp like. I mean, it is the same preamp that is in their Chimera 30 amp. The FETs are very valvey, so you get that nice tube amp feel as far as response goes.

I am currently running a OneSpot daisy chain on my board and am looking to upgrade to an isolated power supply. I can't go too expensive, but also don't want to "cheap out." Any suggestions for a decent power supply with a minimum of 5 spots?

One that is worth mentioning: the Palmer Powertrain PWT 12 MK2.
12 outputs, four variable between 6-18v. Reeeally flexible setup. Quiet, not too pricey. Not very well known around here, so I´m kinda replying to you more for people searching in the future too.

I'm just getting into the Beta DLX and it is definitely on the warmer/darker side. The boost is nice for kicking it up a notch or into distortion territory.

I fall in and out of live with my DLX all the time. I won't part with it but the darker side gets me on it. Not as dark as some of the other beta models. I did dig the 308 model though and kinda wish I never traded it.

I commented on it somewhere a while back. Not sure if it was this thread or not. I would suggest starting with the suggested settings in the manual. When I first got it I twiddled the knobs for a while but was really unhappy with what was coming out of it. Trying to kind of figure it out on my own was NOT working. But once I dialed in a few of the suggested settings, I started to understand better how the controls interacted, and it really opened things up for me.

The HX Stomp requires 800 mA at 9 V. The Truetone CS12 has two 9 V ports labeled 500 mA. Truetone clearly states the ports are capable of much more current than they are labelled. It would likely work just fine. You could ask Truetone just to double check.

Edit: Some Googling confirms it works just fine. The required adapter is included with the CS supplies. Even the CS6 can power the HX Stomp.

Can confirm I got a stomp to work with a CS6

More or less done with my first ever pedalboard. Decided to do a Nano board with a few selected pedals to start with. Quite satisfied with the tones so far! That Octamizer really packs a punch. And spiced up a bit with the VMT makes for killer synth tones! Also really digging the CompIQ Mini Pro compressor. Very transparent but still quite noticeable when you switch it off! Now I just have to wait until we can start jamming in church again!

If I had a board again, I don't think I'd go bigger than a Nano. Ideally that would include my DI/Pre (but many of those would probably be powered separately anyway) along with effects. If I can't fit it on there, I probably don't need it.

I REALLY like the Becos Comp. It works beautifully and has loads of adjustability! It also is VERY quiet - it is an always on effect for me. The Becos can be ordered directly from https://becosfx.com in Romania (which is within EU - so no import tax in Europe). Just takes a while to get it - I had to wait for 3 weeks. But is probably down to Covid19 also...

The reason for not having a DI on my board is that I run a TC Electronic BQ500 amp after my board and use the DI on the amp for FOH support. Saves me space on my board from not needing a DI.
