I have one. I have used it at church for a total of three songs over the past few months---they all went pretty flawlessly. The reason I have used it for a few songs (but not more) is that we do have a solid regular drummer, but he can only play half of the time. Most of the other half of the time the keyboardist uses tracks on the keyboard, or occasionally we will just do songs without drums. But, the keyboard drum tracks aren't great for things like 3/4 and 6/8 signatures, and one of our other keyboardists is not as skilled as using the tracks. So there were some specific songs where I said, "I think I have a good beat for that" and we went with it. I performed the start/stop/fills/transitions all while playing guitar. It was fun.

There is a community on the Beat Buddy site that creates tracks to go with certain songs and worship songs are a popular topic. I think with a little practice and willingness to dive into the editing it really could replace a drummer especially for a lot of worship stuff.

Well after living for the summer with an abbreviated Nano+ board, I decided that swapping pedals out was getting to be a pain, and also having pedals on the floor wasn't doing it for me either. SO... back onto a PT Classic Jr today. The Nano+ did work well for the outside summer gigging season though. Now that I'll be moving indoors for worship only, for the foreseeable future, this makes the most sense. (at least right now) Ignore the settings on some... they got bumped in the move.

Just curious as to how you're powering seven items with only sixoutputs on the Noble?

Thanks for the kind words. I'm using a power cable with multiple plugs (3) - (ST-300 tuner, chorus and microThumpinator) so, I'm actually only using 5 of the outlets. I have a 12v outlet for the Cali76 CB

My setup last week. The OC-2 was added so I could do a synth bass line on "Call Upon The Lord" - which was probably one of the funnest things I've done at church!

Our senior pastor sometimes tells me (jokingly) that the band has too much fun at church! (He's probably the biggest, most enthusiastic music lover I've ever met)

Has anybody used a fishman platinum pro using no amp and IEM? I already own this and use it with my upright and it works great for that. I have been playing at my church for about a year straight into. DB into the board. Not completely happy with the sound I get, so any recomadations would be appreciated. Using a passive P if that makes a difference.

Personally I use a Two Notes - Lebass valve preamp but that might be slight overkill for you, with a passive bass any preamp pedal that has Bass, Mid and High control will help you a lot. Some DI's don't work that well with bass so getting a pedal with a DI included may also help depending on what DI is. It sounds like your fishman platnum pro ticks these boxes so its only going to improve the sound your getting (unless i miss understood the question).

Yeah, it's an ugly sight, but was having some fun trying out some new pedals tonight...
The Studio Bass wasn't hooked up...
Had the MXR Bass Comp, been a while since I'd used it.. still like it.
The new... MXR BOD, TC Corona Chorus, and the Beta..
Not sure if I like the TC as much as I liked the MXR Analog Chorus I had..
The Beta is kind of dark.. may trade it out for a Darkglass VMT, or Blueberry BOD
I have a EQD Dispatch Master, but it wasn't in the fold tonight.
Once I get everything sorted, they'll be used to add some extra sauce for Sunday services

Nice! I have one more shuffle coming too, as I have a Providence Anadime Bass Chorus coming later this week. So, it is very likely that the MXR M83 BCD will show up in the classifieds shortly. Nice thing is that they're the same size, and both BLUE... so it shouldn't mess me up too much.

It's not that I prefer one over the other. Honestly, I hadn't messed with the MXR in quite a while.
I actually like them both. But after messing with the MXR again, I may prefer it just a bit more. It seems I'mable to coax a punchiness out of it that the Studio won't do, again, to my ears.. could be the ability to set your Input level.
The Studio is like it's almost not there, unless you turn it off, not a bad thing at all.
Also, I feel the MXR offers more output level.. which makes good for boost, and adds to the punchiness mentioned. It's nice to select different levels of Ratio.. although I stick with 4:1

As for chorus, the Sea Machine is wonderful, spendy yes, but the sound is warm and delicious.. I stupidly let mine go because I wasn't using it much.. now I'm needing it, typical right, if you're able to swing it you probably won't regret it.

I play pretty clean.
My amp is a Genz Benz Shuttle 3.0-10T with a Shuttle 110T extension cab. 175/300 watts combo/stack.
My gig is at church - DI/IEM with a Roscoe bass, TU-2, JDI.

I occasionally do fill in gigs - jazz standard trio/quartet stuff. The GB rig is plenty.

I sometimes with that I had a little more "something" in my sound. Not necessarily overdrive or fuzz or distortion or etc. Would something like a Microbes BK3 be what I'm looking for? I guess I just need to try but we don't have a lot of access in local stores. I have never had much luck using effects - in church or anywhere. It seems like I get them set at home and then something always goes ary at the gig and I just turn them off or disconnect them all together.

I've never felt that I need anything at church. I supply a solid foundation and the keys and guitar handle all the fancy stuff. But then I read this thread and it seems all kinds of people use effects all the time at church. Maybe we just don't do music that calls for anything from the bass. I mean it's the standard stuff I think.

I enjoy reading all the cool things you all do.

There's nothing wrong about keeping it simple! I generally roll 3 ways... much like you with Tuner and DI - OR, sometimes I'll add an effect or compressor OR I bring it all (and sometimes not use hardly anything) It depends on the team, music and my mood.
