I've had my countryman for years, I've used it on so many traditional backline type gigs and loved it. Once I got into the ampless gigs I stepped up to the Reddi, fell in love with what tubes can do. I wanted to integrate it into my onstage rig and the Monique allows me to do that. To be honest if I have my choice I'll take my V4b and no feed to the house. The cleaner more sterile Countryman or JDI lends itself to a modern tone which in some cases the tubes are to wooly. Same can be said for the tube DI and to much FOH subs.

I'm well aware little of this matters to the guy in the back of the room, but having an inspiring tone on stage be it a bass rig, monitors or IEMs makes a big difference in how I play. All be it not the most cost effective solution.

Right. I think this is why we went JDI at church. All DI, drums included. Really clean and modern.
I did like the sound in my ears from the REDDI, but the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one.

We use a Roland kit and floor monitors, no amps on stage but with the constantly shifting line up and some less experienced folks the IEMs didn't work for us. The drummer uses IEMs and I put them in set to the house mix occasionally to keep everyone honest..

My latest. May not stay in this order, haven't plugged it in, but this is my first thought process. Sweeper and Accountant are in the loop, Diamond passes to Modèle B and BMC to amp. I'll post back after I get a chance to work on this week's songs tomorrow night.

DI - JDI for a really good passive one. Preamp? I like the Darkglass VMTD I have.

On a different topic - new to me bass will be here on Wednesday. Got the Boss' permission but I will have to sell off a bunch of stuff to cover the cost. I've been thinking of getting one for quite a while and finally pulled the trigger.
