A Canadian Custom will take 24-36 months. But TBH the ready to play will be a great option (90+% of the bass at 1/3 the price).
The Tone Hammer is so easy to dial in and just sounds good. I listed mine for sale to offset the CAPO purchase, but keep thinking I should just hold onto it as a grab-and-go bass tone/DI solution.Ran a Tonehammer without the AGS engaged and with virtually flat eq and no effects. On the main FOH desk I set HPF @ 40hz and LPF @5khz and then let the sound engineer do the rest. Fender Precision with bog standard Fender 7250's and boom. Sounded great with drums electric guitar and 2 vocalists, no keys today to muddy the mix thank goodness
Apart from being a pedal geek it did make me wonder why I don't just do that every week!
I assume they will also be made in the same factory then? They still aren't cheap!
pretty much what my sansamp is for now. Lives in the case or bag as a backup/all else fails plan. Its worth hanging on to something for that roll…
I usually have 2 straps, 2 instrument cables, 2 sets of IEMs, an extension cord and various other cables and what nots in my backpack. Seemed like a good idea to have something more than just a plain DI, should the need arise it provides me with some tone shaping capabilities even if it were not ideal… although I must say, I revisited it now that it's been a couple years since I live used it and man it really is a versatile preamp/di. Another bass Swiss Army knife tool!

Final QA & setup take place at the Dingwall shop in Canada.
IvanBassist has a few videos where he is playing the Dingwall Super PJ-4 and it really does sound fantastic.
I had to purchase mine from a store in STL I didn't order it custom from dingwall but through the store. Mine is not the p/j config and I'm glad.. Never been a fan of the p/j in any brand. They're kinda pricey but nothing like Ken Smith or fodera and such. Maybe 4-6 grand ish. (I could be way off) Mostly depends on the custom specs and such I guess. For the price you get a top tier instrument for sure.
My typical setup. I tend to use a variation of the setting Tim Lefebvre mentioned in one of the noble videos. Typically have just used the Octaver on "House of the Lord". Prefer pedal tuners, else I would just used the Noble by itself. Used use a bigger board with Hx Stomp-Alpha Omega- etc... but it was overkill for our typical setlist.

Hey, i do the octave thing on house of the lord too.. Although I completely changed the bassline on that song long ago.

It's amazing how much mileage you can get with a simple Octaver in worship music.

yup. No keys? I'm automatically bringing a 5 string to help fill in that space.
So true. We have two keys players. One usually on traditional piano sounds and the other usually playing organ sounds through a Nord. Both sound great but yeah...hard to have a bass presence in the low end with both of them going at it. I usually have to find some mid frequency to push to poke out a bit.
It is difficult to go wrong with you are so right and never sounds bad.
There have been a lot of Capo's swapping hands very quickly here in the Uk so I will hang fire a bit.
Funnily enough it seems quite a few folk sell the Tonehammer and then buying another one! (Myself included!)
