Worship Bass Pedalboards

I always this is where we get our bass gear…
Especially if the worship leader is wearing the hat!

Fender or someone needs to cross the brands and make a Bass Pro series of basses. You could have different fish scale type finishes. You could then sell them at both stores.

On that note, Nathan told me that he'll have a few of these back in stock in about two weeks.

He still has my Bassdude. He's going to "test a few things" and maybe add a few things as well to address the popping issue.

I discovered that it just wasn't playing nice when I placed an Alma Comp V2 after it. Moved the Alma Comp to before it and it resolved the popping.

Willing to bet it has something to do with differing impedances.

Mine was popping even when it was solo. Nathan said it was something with the circuit design and he would test adding some things but he's been busy. I hope he can fix it, the tone was perfect.

He'll get it sorted out one way or the other. He's awesome like that!

He mentioned that he's back in the office now and no longer working remotely. That's impacted his time.... Commuting is a time suck.

I would also imagine that with the increased exposure he's received via his Phillip Mann/With Bass In Mind Finally V2 collaboration & Janek including the Finally in his recent shoot-out he's receiving more orders than usual. He mentioned that since the Finally V2 WBIM release he's consistently received at least two orders per day.

I'm super stoked he's finally getting the well deserved exposure, however I also hope that lead times don't get ridiculous.

Anchovies are the spice of life! That's what Romans used to salt their food, fish sauce made from whole anchovies fermenting in vats on the beach! Yum!

Yesterday, there was synth on every song. Of course, one of the songs it was only on the first chorus. But the other songs had so much that I decided I would play the synth part on bass for the last song. It's definitely getting used a lot.
In two weeks, we are doing a worship night. There are 11 or 12 songs and a good amount of effects. So, I may need to tear down and rebuild my board (again) to make the most out of the space (I know, get a bigger board haha). I am thinking about using the Horrothia Type Two chorus because it has a little more control than the Type One--especially volume.

That sounds like great fun and challenge! The Moog thing seems to working out well for you!

I just had this situation of needing to switch back and forth mid song from synth to clean. I started using an expression pedal assigned to sweep my signal into Path B with my synth effects on. Side benefit of letting me control how synth-y it needs to be.

On board re-configuring: I have been torturing myself with how to "finalize" my small 18" board. I've self-imposed that size limit. I've recently had the insight that it's OK if my pedal collection exceeds the board capacity and just to customize the pedal selection each week. With the easy to peel off dual-lock, I can reconfigure the board in 30 minutes. Pedal selecting is part of the fun in preparing, now. Paradigm shift for me.

Yesterday's communion set was less Bethel/Elevation and more traditional, so the P-Bass with the low drive Origin BassRig SV sat in the mix perfectly, sounded lovely, and was all I really needed.

I do have a sustain pedal. But, I've been using an expression pedal to control the volume. So, I set the amplifier release really long and let the notes ring out, then rock the volume pedal back on beat one when I come in with the bass. I like using a longer release also because I can let go of the key at a certain time and let the note fade a bit before hitting the next note.

This is exactly why I have multiple boards tailored for specific use cases. I know it's not practical for most folks, but it works for me & saves me the hassle of rewiring a board every few days.
