Helix LT inbound, Stomp is shipping out to its new owner tomorrow. It feels strange.
What are some of the things that you plan to do with the LT that you can't with the stomp?
I want to see if I can dual amp for one. Not all of my patches leave room for the microsynth combo so I want to add that. Beyond that, I am not sure, but it's nice to have options and I consider this an upgrade for future options. Also, my son plays guitar so this will allow him more options as well.

A little over a year ago I was looking hard at the LT before I bought the stomp… it was even in my cart at our favorite candy dealer. But I talked myself out of it because I had never used any effects other than a sansamp and a compressor before… definitely not a big multi fix unit!

Now here I am eying the LT again, and you aren't helping.
The DCX is great mild to medium dirt. Have you tried the Jam Lucy Dreamer Bass?
Very nice. I'm jealous of the ability to have multiple side chains instead of just one in the stomp.
I really like the DCX/Tone Hammer combo. The DCX does the organic and gorgeous bass/treble while the TH AGS does the mids and drive, and of course the DI. A great pairing.
You all are doing WAY more than me. I am using IMA's Ultimate DI - his take in the Noble before Regal was a thing. That's it. I feel like the Stomp is more than I need. At church for sure.
I sometimes think about going back to analog - except I don't want to haul my keyboard around again. Although my keyboard guy would love it.

That sounds like a stellar combo for sure. Still digging the new Cali Compressor too?
I haven't tried that one, have you? I had heard good things about that one and their Red Muck.
I agree with you… The only thing more that this all is doing is using a noble afterwards
My default is the IMA SIG preset unless I need something fancy.
run that past me again, if you went from a stomp with a model of a Nobel, to something analogue (nobelium?) you would need to carry a keyboard?? I'm missing something!

One of our original songs, Among Us, starts at 13:48, I'd love your thoughts on it. I liked how we played it yesterday more than the recorded version. The recorded version is kind of folksy; lots of acoustic guitar with a really mellow feel.
I'd also welcome thoughts on tone. The preamp in this bass has a lot of gain and its hard to get a clean tone out of it. I often debate with myself about replacing it.

The stomp offers synth sounds. The noble or nobelium are just tube preamps.
I for one haven't gotten in to and synth bass stuff yet… and no one expects me to play it at any church I play at.
Played for Sean Feucht yesterday for the Baptize California event in Huntington Beach. Thousands baptized throughout the day. AMAZING DAY!
My pedalboard is the closest one. The one past mine with the stomp and Tonehammer is what the "house band" bass player used with Martin Smith. The board to the right of mine is Adam from Bethel's board. The backline was an Aguilar Tonehammer 500 with an Ampeg 410.
