I saw Tanner Erickson posted his board going into 2025. Also too bad those Lollar Fuzz Pedals are being flipped for $400 plus, but that is to be expected on such a limited drop I suppose. I've been meaning to try some Lollars in my Precision.

I wonder if the Bethel players are shifting from Rat to Fuzz for the heavier drive tones. David Funk adopted the Kilt fuzz device, as well. Matt Ogden has an Aguilar Fuzz on his board (but that pic was a few years old). If so, I concur!

The Kilt in full gain mode (both switches up) is wonderfully unstable ripped velcro fuzz. The lower gain settings are more RAT and overdrive.

I think you’re correct. Well, more than “based” I believe it’s a clone.

I'm moving into fuzz territory in 2025. I posted that my best purchase last year was the Grand Tarkin fuzz, but I may update that to the Cog R-1. It's fuzz and octave in one pedal. It's actually 2 fuzzes and an octave. Or maybe more...I'm not sure. There are a lot of knobs and switches to explore. But, it's nice to have one footswitch for both.

Awesome. How does one obtain these devices? The R-1 could replace several pedals.

The timing just worked out on that one. I posted that I was looking for one in the Cog thread and a few people reached out.
I started looking for one because I was playing a song with octave and fuzz during the verses and a clean tone on the chorus. I hooked up a Saturnworks loop pedal so I could control both at once, but I like this solution better.

Me too. Gated fuzz specifically. I love the Jhs Kilt but there’s a bit too much low end loss.

The Kilt with both switches up (max gain) retains low end really well IME. The lower gain switch settings don't retain low end as much. My Calamity does the same thing. When maxed out, the low end returns.

This COG R1 device sounds like it has BMS potential with more flexibility?

Does COG batch release these? The website doesn't seem to have any e-mail signup for new release notifications that I could find.

I’m not sure about the Cog releases. Mine were all used. There is a big Cog thread on TB. I’ve seen batch release updates there. That might be a good place for updates.
I didn’t spend a lot of time with the BMS, but from what I could tell, it could be a good alternative. I think the R1 is huge sounding. I’m not sure if it does everything that the BMS does, but the tone and the ability to put octave in and out with a foot switch is a great option.

Figured i put this here. Got pretty close to the microsynth with the hx stomp. Just messing around stumbled on this sound.

I’ve watched this video several times. I downloaded the patch as well. Thank you for creating this and making it available to all of us.

I’m just curious, I have the Tone Hammer as well but always use AGS. I don’t see it on in this video. Where is the drive/distortion coming from before you hit the MicroSynth? Your Geddy Lee or the Origin Effects? Either way, it sounds amazing.

That is coming from the tech 21 geddy lee drive.
