Hi All, Here's the test of an idea I had that is working so far, and also my first pedal board setup post.
My goal was to create a pad/synth sound while playing other notes&tones on top.
Tuner>Compressor> XB Driver >XB Driver DI Out
then
XB Driver FX Send> Chorus > HX Stomp (boctaver (FS) /reverb (FS) / fuzzpi (FS) / regal (always on) / cabIR(always on) > XBD FX Return.
also
XB Driver Tuner out(clean signal)>Freeze> HX Stomp signal path B (compressor / shimmer back to signal A cab IR)
+Zoom R4 Recorder to record my output signal and another signal or mic for practice / learning purposes.
The Freeze was modified so I can use the external sustain pedal (bottom right) which allows the freeze to create a secondary signal that will hold a pad/synth sound while i'm still playing. I modified the Freeze also so that the signal output is 100% wet, so its only using the freeze + hx stomp b path when my foots on the sustain pedal. The two hotone external FS are set up to boost volume by ~15% when on, and the other one cuts my main signal so its only the pad signal, which can make some cool organ like tones when its only my Freeze's signal path.
Future plans - Swap TU2 (My first pedal), currently place holder for the shure wireless/tuner glxd16+ that I have yet to buy.
Also Swap out the Chorus for a vintage bass octave if I ever come across one, and likely move the chorus into a stomp block .
