Worship Bass Pedalboards

I feel like I have a decent worship preset in the Anagram. I’ve made it public in the preset hub. Search my username or “SMS Worship”. *Apologies for flubbing a couple fills, didn’t have enough time to re record.
I’m using the Bass Station II. It’s great! I only use it a couple times a year but it definitely hits the spot when I want it. I think any mono synth would do the job so it’s just a matter of how much you want spend, lug around, and how much you can recognize or want the “moog” sound. I can’t tell the difference yet
I started with the Bass Station II and got educated on subtractive synthesis. It's affordable, very portable with its compact custom carry case, sounds good. Novation sometimes sells them as refurbished on Reverb at a great price.
Then upgraded to the Moog Subsequent 25 (which was the successor to the Moog Sub Phatty, both now discontinued). The Moog controls were easier to access and tweak and the overall unit sounded a bit better. With its Moog carry case, the Sub 25 is reasonably luggable.
The Sub 37 is heavy to too big to lug back and forth in my opinion.
I think the Bass Station II is a great place to start.

I use the Sub Phatty. It’s 25 keys. I wasn’t aware of how much I’d use it, but I use it almost every service. More keys is always nice, but I’ve never ran out of notes. Plus the octave button is easy to access and it adjusts quickly.
I used to lug it back and forth, but I now have it set up at church, on stage and ready to go.
Very nice! How are you liking the Bassrig SV. Using it always on? Using the cab sim? Does it handle the upstream octave and BMS well? I've tried the SV a couple of times, but reverted back to the Tone Hammer. But I did like the SV core tone.
My initial plan was the Bass Station. But after hearing the Moog and the difference in the way it sounds I'm now conflicted. have a friend that keeps telling me (in reference to other things) "Buy Good...Buy Once" ha ha
Bass synth for worship is pretty simple. Usually just a straight sine wave sometimes a little square wave added in for drive and modulation. Bass Station does everything you need and more. I rarely go outside of a 15 note range before it gets too high or too low with our churches subs. Moogs have a warmer sound to me though, but I wanted something compact I could fit in a laptop bag and went with arturia mini brute ii.
Fun thing about using bass synth in church you’ll find out if anything is loose in the room
Yeah always on and I use the cabsim at church, sounds great to me. I've had no issues with it handing the octave or BMS at all.
My one issue with the Bassrig Fifteen is it sounds great on its own but the EQ structure doesn’t play nice with most other effects going into it. Especially octaves and fuzz.
I love Music Stand (part of the Planning Center suite). I haven’t tried a foot pedal but would expect one to work.
If it’s not reasonably easy to get my sound out of it, I don’t want or need it. YMMV.
So far my pedalboard had served all my needs. If I get to the point I need multiple sets of pedals for different gigs, I’ll have to decide whether to have multiple boards, an Anagram, or what. Meanwhile I’m not having fun trying to find an octave down pedal that sounds and tracks really great.
I've tried several as well. Observations: The Broughton Subsonic tracks better than most. The MXR Vintage Bass Octave sounds nearly identical to the Subsonic. The best tracking was the Bass Octaver in the HX One (or Stomp) and they also work great further down the signal chain. The best sounding for me is the Aguilar Octamizer, but I have more tracking issues with it than the others. No experience with 3 Leaf.
I'm thinking about taking the Luce to my next service to see how it does. I'm really impressed with it. It will be the first time I didn't use the Noble in over 2 years. I'm looking forward to it.
The Luce seems to be more detailed, but less hefty than the Noble. For my tastes, the Luce needs something in front of it.
I've seen a lot of talk about always on OD/saturation---and I've tried it myself many times, but I never felt it added much with the Noble. Since the Luce has no EQ at all and is a bit cleaner tonally, I'm experimenting with different ODs with good results.
So far, I like the Greer Lightspeed with it and I'm going to try the DCX with it soon. I also have a ParaEQ coming in on loan. I think I'll be able to get something nice set up with it.
I'll report back. The Noble is staying. But, if the Luce works out well, then I'm going to build a smaller board around it. It'll just have a few ODs or maybe an EQ pedal.

1. Cog T47. This wins by far. It sounds massive
2. 3 Leaf Octabvre. I know some people love the big white box. For my needs, the older standard sized ones with one footswitch is nice.
3. Subsonic.
4. Everything else. The IE Subterranea, FoxRox Octron, OC2, Stomp in no particular order.

I agree that the Bass Octaver in the stomp and Subsonic are both really good at what they do and track really well. I had the MXR at one time and thought it was good as well.
The Anagram has better octaves than the stomp but not quite as good as the actual pedals. It’s 90% there though.
However, it tracks stupid good. It can track down to an open E without having to even be careful about it. Frequency wise though, below A is muddy regardless of tracking.
It has OC2 and MXR deluxe octaves plus a third one that blasts only sub 100hz frequencies that is really fun solo’d.
Octamizer was first I tried. Tracking issues killed it for me. Thanks.
