I heard he just went Direct.With all his travels he definitely would have had a more compact board. Something unconventional as he was anti establishment and a bit of a hippie for his time. Hmm. Has me thinking.

Flew into Malaysia and had the opportunity to serve in a conference. Travelled with this in a mono tick. Just used the trusty tonehammer powered by 2 9V batteries! Sometimes we have to be flexible with the venue and crew.
Also - I think I'd rather have a Sunday Morning P&W Board with a pedal called "Morning Glory" than one inscribed with F**K Your Ears. Or Big Booty Judy. LOL.....
Looking at the moog messenger mentioned in the p&w thread. Didn't even know it had come out. Looks like the one of the best options now for worship bass synth they've come out with specifically for the resonance bass filter and more portable size.
I forgot about that...Nothing a bit of tape won't fix....
This morning's service's pedalboard settings. Was told to turn up the drive on the BDDI for The Passion by Belonging Co. I used a pick during practice but played with my nails strumming during live service and FOH wasn't happy as I lost bass end and they had to EQ me some low end. Lesson learned. Don't change between practice and live. I don't really like playing with a pick.
I learned to love both fingers and pick. Some songs need one, some the other.
leading on acoustic through the anagram. Some great reverbs in there.

It's on sale for $699. That's pretty tough to beat TBH. I love my Subsequent 37, but it's big, heavy and a pain to travel with. It's all sorts of vibey tho. It looks great on stage and yeah the sounds are just outrageously good. But $1,100 plus $300+ on a case, etc. The Messenger hits pretty high above it's weight class. The 37 is one of the last models built in NC, if that matters to you.

I love using it and to be honest everyone compliments me when I play synth bass. More than regular bass! lol
Not that it matters, but when you get the synth bass sounding right, man it really sits in the mix so friggin' good. It can be aggressive and subdued. It holds the note infinitely, I mean, tons of options. It's one of those that once you have it, you'll never want to not have it. Do you need it? No. Is it a useful and creative tool? Absolutely.
If you can swing it, get it. If not, hold on for the next sale. I think this is the 2nd or 3rd time since it was released that it's been on sale at this price. I think this was released in July or August. So it will happen again. Also, if you get it and don't vibe with it, there's always the return.
Ok so I'll admit I don't know the first thing about synths or playing keys at all for that matter but I want to learn really bad. There are just times when I don't want to hit a string but just there in the moment with a low punchy sustained bass line and just let it sit. Know what I mean? I don't know if that's a square wave or what you call it but i've heard that from the sub 25 and just love it. our worship leader is also the keys player and not only that but a music teacher so I know that she would be willing to show me some basics. if the messenger will do the same thing that I've heard the sub 25 do I think I'm fixing to go ahead and click purchase lol

Synth is awesome. I've started playing it a little more through entire songs instead of just quiet parts. And I've learned so much abut filters and envelopes. My current synth is awesome (mini brute ii) but big downside is can't save presets so I'm building the sound from scratch each time.
