Fighting the urge to sell all my effects pedals and just run this always on set and forget. Sounds so good.

Ok so I'll admit I don't know the first thing about synths or playing keys at all for that matter but I want to learn really bad. There are just times when I don't want to hit a string but just there in the moment with a low punchy sustained bass line and just let it sit. Know what I mean? I don't know if that's a square wave or what you call it but i've heard that from the sub 25 and just love it. our worship leader is also the keys player and not only that but a music teacher so I know that she would be willing to show me some basics. if the messenger will do the same thing that I've heard the sub 25 do I think I'm fixing to go ahead and click purchase lol
I only have a Stomp, but I do have it on the "Noble" preset from IMA. I use no effects at church. I just play with the this as a sloid foundation for everything else.Fighting the urge to sell all my effects pedals and just run this always on set and forget. Sounds so good.

Wifey just gave the "go ahead and get what you want" reply lolI was a bit hesitant about getting the keyboard synth too. But, I play it A LOT and I'm glad I went for it. The team and staff love it. It's certainly a big expense, so I don't always recommend it. But, if you can swing it, you'll love it.
As far as playing, most of the time I have a pick in my hand and I use one or two fingers on the Moog. (I love looking at the pianist and showing him my 'technique') There aren't a lot of runs and complex lines.
For programming, the manual for the Sub Phatty is one of the best manuals I've seen to get you started. It was very clear and helpful.

She said "I don't know why you're asking me. I don't even know what that is. As long as I get to keep my keyboard do whatever." God I LOVE THIS WOMAN!

Yessir. Would kinda like to have the Sub 25 but its hard to find now and actually costs more than this one on sale. So..Nice! Are you going for the Messenger?

Moog messenger is tempting. I learned organ formally as a child so familiar with keyboard. Hmmm…Messenger should be here Monday. Oh yeah!
