Sunday morning, depping for another church. My rig into the MB... I have to admit to not being a fan of MB, but it's cool....
Not really a pedal board today, but taking my Squier VMP5 into a Polytune Noir tuner into a Fender TBP-1 tube preamp to the board.

I actually normally have my Markbass Compressore always on, but I've been dealing with noise, and cut down to bare minimum for this Sunday. Turned out it was the jack on the new wiring harness I had put in Monday. I swapped it back to original, but the original tone pot isn't functioning, so I think I was basically bypassing the tone pot, but without the noise. I've had the tube go out on the Compressore, and thought it might be that, but it was just the jack on the new wiring harness. But yeah, I've had an F500 in the past, Markbass stuff is pretty decent, as long as you don't have to have any repairs besides the typical tube changes, etc.
How do you use the BF -2B? I've kept mine in the closet for way too long.

Put together a mini "noodling" board, that I can "attach/extend" my Classic Jr or Nano board, when desired...
Just added some feet to a PT (double) pedal booster 7" x 5.5"...fairly sturdy board gauge, too...

Played “walls” “to worship you I live” “take courage” “spirit move”
The supersymmetry comp made my low B string notes super thick on “take courage”. Still trying to figure it out but this week was better then last weeks settings with the blend at noon. I had the blend nearly full out but a low ratio and not a ton of reduction. I was using a medium release that was making held notes bloom nicely. Good times.
I'd like to find one locally (South Africa) to try - ovnilab gave it an outstanding review @ Whirlwind OC Bass

Added the Behringer Slow Motion.... want it for a little "bowed" action if possible. Got it for next to nothing, so nothing ventured....

Depending on what you are after tonally and what kind of a vibe you're after, a gentle chorus is a win for getting a fretless vibe. But it's really all about what you want to achieve with tonal sculpting. I've stripped down from a huge board (for a bassist) to just 2 effects (the delay on my board is always on). The Slow Motion might not be a permanent thing. In all honesty, as much as I am a fan of effects, in P&W, not everything works.
Chorus, delay, flanger, drive.... They all can work.
The Julia looks really nice.... On guitar, vibrato is awesome, I'm just not sure about how well it works on bass. However, the chorus is super nice.
So, just a quick update...
The Slow Motion works pretty well as a volume swell tool. No fancy fretless mwah here, just really clean swells, which works perfectly for those long note worship songs. Not bad for (at today's exchange rate) a $17.56 purchase.
Here's my new pedalboard, but I also use a REDDI last in line (not in photo).
