Worst gig I've played in a while

Keep a beer bottle with you on stage. Accept the shot graciously, chase it with beer, but spit it into the bottle. Everyone's happy and you get to drive home safely after the gig.
Nah, I can’t stand the taste of Fireball or Jaeger or any of that stuff. I got sick as a dog on peppermint schnapps once when I was young and stupid. I can’t even stand the smell of it.

While it was titanic failure in your mind...the audience probably didn't even notice...or even care.

The one thing worse than sub'ing in a band that sucks - sub'ing in a band that sucks and the audience LOVING it.

Massacring lowest common denominator, three chord songs to a drunk audience, then having to smile when they tell you you're the best band they've ever heard (your regular band played here 2 weeks ago). How long you been together? Well I did a sub gig with the singer once before, but I called the drummer at 10am this morning... It's 11:00 now, we got here at about 8, so is that 3 hours, or 13 hours?

It's dirty and degrading, and I'd totally do it again! Not my band, not me screwing up, not my problem.
