Yeah I see that. I wouldn't buy it for any money. But it might be worth something.
Well, I ain't gonna buy it, 'cause it's wrong-handed for me, but:
- $425 Canadian is just shy of $338 American, @ today's exchange rate;
- He doesn't say it's a Fender; he says it's a Squier by Fender - just like it says on the headstock;
- Korean Squiers are supposed to be fairly desirable, from what I hear;
- what's a hard shell case worth, these days?; and
- A Samick amp may not be your choice for your next world tour (it's not mine, either), but I'd take it as a workbench amp.
Yeah, the nut is kind of a buzz killer, but that can be fixed. Bottom line? Assuming the nut is the only problem, I really don't see the price as all that unreasonable - and you can always haggle if you want...

What is it exactly that made you bring this up in a thread? Is this the first overpriced instrument you have come across? Consider yourself lucky and move on, shriner?!?

Well he is asking too much with that poor nut job but why would it bother me ? The only way it could possibly bother me is if I was going to buy it.
75 shipped for the case and the body and he can keep the neck. But if he gets 400 for it then good for him.
The ad says "the nut never bothered me" and shows 2 hi-res closeups of the ugliest nut I have ever seen on a bass. I posted it for our collective amusement.

Does not bother me, ya'll know the saying "A fool with his money" people post crap on craigslist down here all the time for more money than you could buy it new.
