As revolting and offensive as I found the Gallagher tarp comment, I still couldn't help laughing hysterically.
I don't have any children. Unless someone forgot to tell me something along the line...

1. The child knew this person, and was wronged/harmed by this person.

Hardly. I'd say this thread gave up a few decent jokes in spite of itself. The Executionettes? Where else are you gonna get that kind of comedy gold?

+1, it's probably morally wrong, but I still snorted while reading it.
I honestly don't know. I don't have kids. I do not think I'd let a young child witness one, but if the child was older 17-18, then I might (and I emphasize might) let them witness one. I really don't know though.
I do know that I saw one over in the middle east when I was stationed there and it was a quite horrific scene. In some ways it was culturally enlightening.
On a side note, If ya stop and think about it, there is little to no difference than witnessing an execution as to seeing someone shot down in cold blood on one of those TV shows that show actual store cam footage or perhaps even seeing a very graphic movie like Saving Private Ryan.....Flame away

Uhmm... IMO there is a big difference:
Seeing someone being shot in a non-fictional film as a crime is just showing how bad terrible things can happen.
Seeing an execution is giving a message that it's okay to kill a human being as a punishment given by society of wich your child is part of.
On the graphic movie example:
- You must learn your kid what the difference is between fiction and non-fiction.
- As a parent you must be wise and feel when it's time to learn your kid about graphic violence and how the best way is to sensitive them. The important thing is that your child learns more about ethics.
Who in their right mind would say yes?
