Would you go to a Pink...

Sure. My bride is a big fan. I think she is pretty cool too. I watched a concert on TV with the wife once. It was actually really good. Pink seems to be a an emotional roller coaster. But she channels that into her music in a good way I think.

Why is it that so many people have a hard time appreciating lots of different kinds of music? That seems so strange especially coming from musicians. I'll dress up and go see Yo Yo Ma, then go see Pink the next night, play some country and blues on the weekend, and go see a rock band next time out. My CD collection has everything from Motown and Jazz to metal a blues. Why not? Sure, Zep and Hendrix were cool. But there's more to life.....

When my daughter was a tween and teen I took her and a couple of her friends to a lot of concerts that she wanted to go to.
The vast majority of them made me gag but it made the little princess happy.
One of the few that I did enjoy was a Pink show.

So I have seen her live once and I would go again.

I like plenty of pop. I just don't think Pink is good pop. To be fair i don't think modern pop in general tends to be any good.

Why do so many of your posts bash others?

There are scads of artists I don't like, or don't get. I never post about them. Talent and appeal are subjective. For every ONE person who thinks I have talent, there are TEN who would pass me by. My job is to find the ONE, and more like them.

I just don't get reporting to others how unappealing you find an artist. Karma, man.

Pink looks like a man? That's absurd. She cuts her hair short. That makes her look like a man?

I wear my hair long. LIKE A WOMAN. Does that mean I look like a woman?

Ridiculous.

Eh, i'm judgemental. And for the record, the thing about karma (which isn't really what karma is but let's take it in its generally accepted definition) i have no illusions that my own music would get destroyed by the vast majority of people, especially here. But i don't really care. It's not a popularity contest and i don't aim to be liked (or disliked, i don't care either way).

Also, i do very much KNOW it's subjective. So why shouldn't i get to have my say really? I guess it's the way i go about it? My opinion isn't truth. It's my opinion. It matters as much as anyone else's. Meaning varying between not at all to very little. I don't know, i guess i don't adhere to the "if you've got nothing nice to say, don't say anything" mentality. That's not even true actually...a lot of the time i stop myself from saying anything. I don't know why people should care so much i often have negative opinions to share. Think of me as an immature angry teenager and maybe you can stop caring what i say. Though i generally do not go into threads of artists i don't like just to bash them. It's possible i've done it before, but i generally don't. It's a pointless fight and is generally just trolling. I guess in this case i found the assumption that i might go to a Pink concert (since the thread said "would YOU go to a pink concert") because of whatever she might do on stage ridiculous.

I will agree the comment about looking like a man was over the line. I regret making it now for the record. It was late and I wasn't in a good mood (the proof being I got a warning last night for another post i made...). That's below me. I can't take it back but i'm sorry i made it.

Oh..but i just want to say..short hair, i love short hair on girls, i absolutely do, more than long hair in fact, my comment had nothing to do with that. If you knew how many times i rolled my eyes for comments made at girls with short hair....

Let me rephrase what i said, i am surprised so many find her sexually appealing when by my own standards, i find her very unattractive. Well it's too late now but whatever.

Pink is not my cup of tea – nonetheless I watched the Funhouse footage from Australia and the talented lass puts on a good show. I prefer coffee to tea is all.

To go see her live, well...

She'd have to can the acrobatics and play a stripped down show. Bonus if Eva Gardner and the rest of the entourage stripped down, too.
