I personally would not pay that much, but I don't think the guy's trying to rip anyone off. I saw a feature on that company in a UK guitar magazine; that company has built a guitar for Prince so I think they know what they are doing. Also, I think that if the photgraphs were better it would look more like it was worth the money.

But anyway, as I said above, I wouldn't pay that much for it. Not my cup of tea, but there's no need to slag off something you don't know about.

Go to the maker's website... It's wild! The guitars sound pretty good, too, and apparently Seal ones one of these, among a few other guys. I wouldn't pay that much, but on the site you can take a photographic shop tour, and they are all made by hand, one at a time, including the carbon-fiber layers, and all the metal parts are machined by the one guy, too (except the tuning heads)... I don't think what he's charging is out of line for what he's offering. I would never buy one, but that doesn't mean it's overpriced.

Was it Chris Stambaugh who said something like, "There is absolutely no justification for a four-string passive bass to cost $3,500. None."?

it has a few fatal flaws for me.. it costs soo much, no maple fretboard, and its ooglie

LED's are a nice touch, but unless it played and sounded amazing, and were within my budget (of zero dollars) then i wouldnt be caught dead with it

Its obviously a next-gen toaster, which i would definitely pay $6000 for. perfect toast is something that has eluded me for years...

Plus if you read some of the specs, it's nothing that far out of the ordinary.

Chrome tubing?

It's really a high end bass tone-wise, but taste-wise (looks in particular) it's not everybody's cup of tea

I think it looks great and I usually just go for Fenderish styling. If I had serious bucks to throw around I'd consider it, but I can think of a lot of things that I'd rather do with $6000. Besides, which dives are you going to bring a $6000 bass to?

The guitar is just plain not worth that money in materials and workmanship. If given it for free, I'd donate it to some needy person.
