If I had Prince or Seal $$$, probably. I like the way it looks.
I'd want to play one first, but then if I had Seal or Prince money and didn't like the way it played I could always just display it on my wall as a conversation piece.
In my current financial situation? No way. I play a used Rogue and that's a stretch for me financially...

To be fair, he is clearly into basses with a more, umm, nontraditional visual appeal. When he talks about the tone of these basses in his last few sentences, well, I'd describe my Dingwall ABI the same way. About as good as a passive bass can get, which, at least to me, is about as good as a bass can get.

Absolutely not. For the price of nearly five brand new MIA Ps or Js...you'd have lunch with the Pope before I paid over $6000 for that bass.
"Chrome Bratwurst." Added to my list of potential band names.
I'd only think of buying that white one after my band, "The Chrome Dildos", went platinum. (pun intended)
But seriously, I think these are very cool looking basses. White wouldn't be my first choice unless ^^^. Cash flow concerns would make it difficult, but not impossible to ever own one.

I would hit the all-black stealth one with the black dildoes/brats. However I would not pay $6K unless I had plenty of money left over after making some significant charitable contributions. Also I saw one of these being played in concert (Gary Numan, two years ago) and the sound was nothing special and the chrome dorks looked just as dorky onstage with rock star posing and stage lights as they do in those pics. The bassist looked like a complete idiot with that bass on, especially as he wore it low.

No offense to anyone who likes this sort of thing, but I wouldn't want it if it was free and came with a case of beer!
C'mon now, which is it. Either we bash innovative design or we bash all the jazz clones for being unoriginal. These basses venture into the "work of art" category. You may like them, you may not, but clearly they elicit a strong response. See? Works of Art. Doesn't meant they belong in your gallery, so to speak.

#2: The way it's described, I'd get another Parker bass at less than a third of the asking price.
After reading"...becoming the instrument of choice for a number of professional players and receiving numerous accolades from the press." I was unsuccessful locating anyone noted as using one of these nor have I found any "accolades".

i think they are retro as a M&*&%$F&^%$#, the middle reminds me of old 50's cars. Like a hot rod
