Actually I am supposed to be in Houston on July 25th..... Think im at Concert Club?// I think...
Im on IEMs on that and FOH.. ill be using the 1155 for sure..

Not sure how i am getting there yet.. these guys are tight in the pocket.. So i doubt if they will fly me.. should know in a week or so... If i dont quit first. HA

Hey svtb15, weren't you at the same Concert Pub North last year with Point Blank? THought I read that in a thread here on TB. If so, I so planned to go check out your show and maybe meet up with you. I;m more RnB but my bro in law always inviting me there to go check out all these heavier rock bands he's into. Not really my bag but I've gone a couple times and had a good time. I like the size of that room for live shows.

Also, a country band I was with last year played Sweet Nicole and I wanted to hear that tune live. But I totally forgot the date and my bro in law had plans, so we blew it. Now this year I got a gig on 25th so no go. I'll be on lookout if you head that way again, will try to catch you on the flip then. Sorry for the derail. Peace, ernie

To sorta stay OT, I was real close to buying a Xsonics cab last year but went with a new GB NX2 212T. Very happy with this cab w/Stream 900 or Shuttle 9.2 heads.

Yes.. i was there last year with them.. With my Fave drummer? producer buddy on drums M Gage..... He just left last week.. We have a new guy coming in then some euro dates..
I think i was running my Genz rig on that run.. .Im using the xsonics 1155 now with my Genz or fender TB1200 head.
When im home i play Pop, country, rock. rnb. whatever i get the call for.. Ha..... mercenary.. !

I have to see the schedule. .I think it is teh 25th,, , Im out doing some other stuff right now. when i get home ill report back here

I think that i will be taking my Genz Benz SM9.2 out on some dates this week with the 1155TF.. Ive been using my wrecking ball TB1200 for a while. Just want to change it up with something that i can do surgical type tuning.
Plus this week i need real clean tine. So the FET channel on the ShuttleMAX 9.2 is the ticket for that..

This is a good match up.. I said that i would post a photo when i ran it. i did a video today with a friend... and this is the rig that i used. It was at setup time The DI was not plugged in yet..
The Genz DI is great But i worked with this engineer before and he said ' BRING THAT REDDI THING." So i did...

I forgot to take a photo this week... i will next though... One real potent tower yet manageable.. Used my Fender Tb1200 head which is 2Ω ready running 2.6Ωs with ease.....
Genz Benz uber 115 on the bottom and my Xsonics 1155TF on top.... The Uber 115 is 8Ω and my Xsonics 1155 is 4Ω...
They match up real well actually!!!
The overall output was Full, Deep, Tight, Punchy with a little tube Girth.... It has teh ability to shake your fat and be pretty HIFI if that is what you want... Im going to use the two together again this week coming...

I need to try one of the old style 215CF cabs one day
I hurt my back so bad a few weeks ago. I have been in bed for nearly 3 weeks. Ice packs.. ughhhhhh
I have a run of dates with ony a semi crew.. So i will move my gear.. My loudest smallest cab is my 1155.. I wanted to use my Fender TB1200 head but like i said,, im need to go light.. So it will be my MBF800 or Streamliner900... I may even have to sit on a freakin chair.... double ughhhhh I think that i will bring my Ampeg stool to be somewhat cool.

So the last time i posted here i got hate mail and such negativity in my inbox... Haters! :woot::bassist: It was in July or so..
Im still using the cab regularly...
Actually sounds real good with an SVT head.. I use the V Vibe switch set to 3 way.. and turn off the tweeter... So its just 15" and 5 "... Its 4Ωs so the head is fine.. Sounds tight and punchy and since that cab can take it, the SVT can get into growly territory... Freaking greatness..
...
But this week I am home on gigs.. No NAMM show this year.... So im going lighter.

F2B pre into my GKMBF800 power amp.... then the 1155 cab...

what?.... WOw... I still use my cab a lot... its wasn't cheap... Not that i would ever need support for it because it is built like a tank. But man....
Maybe they exceeded bandwith?
I really like the one that I own. But whenever I would post about my cab and what head i used on it, I would get charged and accused of being a shill by kids in this forum... So goes the TalkBass kids that point fingers at those who actually do it. and not just yap about doing it!:banghead::banghead::confused::vomit:

With the website down and no activity or replies on Facebook it looks like Xsonics might be out of business. Tried to call Nick but no answer at that number. Too bad cause these cabs really slam. I still have my 2155CF with Eminence 3015's and 1155TF with Peavey 1505 BW. My GK MBF800 is the best match with the 2155CF. That tight solid low end falls half way between sealed and ported and that 5" Faital mid is just what those 3015's need to fill out the spectrum. Kind of unique and just hammers. The 1155TF is best with my Demeter VTBP-M-800D. It's a bit rounder but still solid on the low end and the ferrite magnet of that Peavey gets a wonderful kind of saturation when driven hard and just sings. Very happy with both rigs. Tried a couple other good offerings but nothing I've tried yet makes me want to sell these. I enjoy gig reports from players that relate real experience. No point bagging on someone who just enjoys their gear and puts it to good use. There are lots of ways to get good sound and no single magic combination that works for everyone. Play on...

My 1155 Is great for fast in and outs. Its tight.. With my Alembic Preamp it sings....And it takes anything that my GKMBF800 or fender Tb1200 throws at it in 4Ωs...
The few times that i spoke with Nick he was very cool and informative... I havent spoken with him in about a year. Lots of stuff that i have to take care of on teh home front has me extremly tied up right now.
The 1155 sounds pretty good as a PA monitor too...
