actually yes they do.. At least for me... and that fender head is a monster with the alembic preamp

fEarful's will go lower stronger.
The Faital mid on the Xsonic should sound a bit smoother than the Eminence mid.

A fEARful cab would be my preference. But there are people out there that still like an 810e tone too.
+1 Players have a range of preferences. These Xsonics TF cabs have a bit more upper bass and less deep bass, plus the mid drivers are crossed over about 1.5 kHz. They use a full range woofer instead of a driver which could server as a sub woofer, are quite punchy, and have a bit more grind from the woofer coming through. They are voiced differently from the fEARful and most players would prefer one or the other. Both nice cabs and different flavors of good. If you put the fEARful on one end of a scale and the Dually T on the other, these might sit somewhere in between.

Wondering if perhaps Dennis Michaels aka "Fretlessboy" (or any other fan) could explain why the Co. moved away from their original design? The amount of hoopla generated would seem to indicate that there was something special about it... but now its abandoned?
I think it was just a way to get to his sonic goals that required less construction hours. A reboot if you will, Xsonics 2.0. I had a similar cross firing cab, but not Xsonics, and didn't notice a huge difference when both speakers were on versus just the front speaker.

Many companies make changes to their lineup all teh time... Strig Companies, Basses, cabs...
I think the crossfire works. I mean Schroder dis it for a while.. and it was a loud small box... I remember playing one of their 1210s years ago that a buddy owned.. Was not real bottom heavy but it was LOUD... So the idea works well. I have seen some pro audio cabs with a similar design over teh decades too.
Not sure why Nick changed his design.. It works though.. Its real freaking Loud.. I like teh cab on its side.. it couples better at times since i like a deep bass... I usually run the mids and highs at about 9 oclock on the crossover in the 3 way position.. If im on a smaller gig and want more mid punch, i flip the V-Vibe switch and go Two way instead of 3 way.. It has a more vintage cab sound then.. That really works well fro rock stuff IMO

I would love to see a custom Xsonics Deep cab.. like a sub.... weeeeooo. .Put that under the 1155Tf and you have a nutty concert full Range rig...
When i need LOUD, i use my Genz uber 115 under my Xsonics 1155 and run the fender TB1200 head.. Since it handle 2.6 ohms with ease... Its toobey , and loud and just tight enough without being sterile.

Well I was on an early outdoor gig to day. The Xsonics and the fender head.. I opened it up and moved some aire.. today jazz bass with flats. and holy moley.. it was punchy.. .the cab is definitely broken in now.. the bottom blooms more. and i dig it
I have been out of the loop as well - though I own the 2155cf and still absolutely adore the performance for my needs. I would think that the change could also be a bit of marketing, it was hard to get people to come around to the non-traditional design and therefore to keep a business going one must produce what people will buy. I am sure the TF's are really nice as well, but you would have to rip my CF out of my hands.
+1 I own and like both but if I don't need to use a smaller cab the 2155CF is my goto. Those tight solid lows and sweet mids are the sauce and work so well with my MBFusion 800...

I wish he still made the CF... for the times that you want that extra Kapow... I dont see them on their site anymore. I would like to use one. I think it would annihilate
I'm sure Nick would make one. I'd definitely go with the 2155CF and ask for 3/4" stock on the bottom plate instead of 1/2" and get the reinforcement rails. Let me know if you're in the Houston area and would like to try mine on a gig. That slightly tighter low end punches in a good way.
